It's still paused. I'm Lisa Lucera, Fox News. A judge rules a buyout offer for thousands of federal workers will stay on hold for now. A deadline for federal employees to accept a resignation offer will continue to be extended. A federal judge in Boston is leaving a temporary stay in place until a final ruling on a challenge to the buyout plan.
The White House has more than 65,000 federal workers accepted the deal that allows them to resign immediately and be paid through the fiscal year. The program is tied to a back-to-the-office policy. A Thursday night deadline was initially set for individuals to decide, but that was put on hold for arguments today. District Court Judge George O'Toole says he's keeping his order in place for now.

If all of the hostages aren't returned by Saturday at 12 o'clock, I think it's an appropriate time. I would say cancel it and all bets are off. But the president said he was only speaking for himself and not Israel. President Trump has pardoned former Illinois Governor Rob Ligoyevich, who was sent to federal prison for trying to sell Barack Obama's Senate seat that was vacated when he ran for president.
The Justice Department says it wants to end the federal bribery case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The directive is contained in a two-page letter from Acting Deputy Attorney General Emile Beauvais to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. The letter calls for the federal case against Mayor Adams to be dismissed without prejudice, meaning that case could potentially be revived, perhaps in another court.
Mayor Adams was indicted last year on bribery, solicitation of foreign campaign contributions and other counts. Fox's Grinnell Scott, Adams' lawyer, in a statement writing, he said from the outset that the mayor is innocent and he will prevail. And today he has. America's listening to Fox News. A number of arrests in Philadelphia after the Eagles Super Bowl victory. Philadelphia police announcing dozens of arrests and citations after thousands flocked to the streets to mark the Eagles' victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Videos shared online show people jumping on vehicles and setting off fireworks with fires spotted in the streets. Police say at least five people were arrested for assaulting officers, two for aggravated assault, and one for reckless endangerment.
Noting at least 29 others were cited for disorderly conduct, adding four businesses and four sanitation department trucks were vandalized. Kristen Goodwin, Fox News. At the trial of the man accused of stabbing author Salman Rushdie, a prosecutor says Rushdie was so stunned when Hadi Mattar attacked him on stage in western New York that he didn't even try to fight back. Mattar is charged with attempted murder and assault in the 2022 stabbing. Rushdie is expected to testify.
