The Senate confirmed President Trump's nominee to lead the Department of Agriculture. Brooke Rollins receiving bipartisan support with over 70 senators voting for a confirmation. Rollins served in the first Trump administration and was most recently the CEO of the America First Policy Institute, a think tank that advocates for President Trump's policies.
Rollins was also the founder of the conservative think tank Texas Public Policy Foundation. Rollins will likely be heavily involved in President Trump's actions on tariffs, which could have a major impact on the U.S. agriculture industry. On Capitol Hill, Ryan Schmelz.
Fox News. German authorities say an Afghan asylum seeker has been arrested after ramming his car into a labor union demonstration in central Munich, injuring 30 people. A major strike in Belgium over government pension reform plans. Demonstrators in Belgium blocking streets, stopping traffic during a massive protest that grounded some 430 flights at the airport in Brussels with a spokesperson saying the disruption would last just one day. Police reporting 60,000 people took part
in day one of the multi-day action in the capital city. That also included public transport, postal service, and emergency workers. Some holding signs with slogans such as, we're not lemons. Others clashed with police who used tear gas and a water cannon.
