Sigmund's execution marks the first by firing squad in the U.S. in 15 years and the fourth since 1977.
He was convicted of fatally bludgeoning his ex-girlfriend's parents in 2001. His attorneys say he chose the firing squad method over lethal injection and the electric chair. A new federal indictment against Sean Diddy Combs accuses him of forced labor and sexual coercion. Prosecutors claim he used physical force, psychological manipulation, and financial control to keep employees working long hours with little sleep, and in one case to force an employee into sex acts.
Combs remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and will be arraigned on these new allegations next week. The rap mogul has pleaded not guilty to racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Prosecutors accuse him of moving women across state lines for so-called freak offs.

Federal government employment declined. Economists were expecting 160,000 jobs created, with the unemployment rate holding at 4%. Wage increases stabilized last month. Over the past year, wages rose 4% at the same pace as January.
