Acting U.S. Attorney Jay Bishop Gruhl says Mohammed Soleiman, the suspect in yesterday's firebombing of a group of pro-Israel demonstrators, told the FBI he plotted the attack for more than a year, posing as a guarder to get closer to his victims. He said that he had previously tried to purchase a firearm, but resorted to the Molotov cocktails when he could not purchase a gun.
because he was not a legal citizen. Soleiman is an Egyptian national who overstayed his visa in Boulder, Colorado. He's been charged with a federal hate crime and attempted murder. Twelve people were injured in the attack. A U.S. citizen is going to prison for joining and fighting for ISIS. 49-year-old Liram Silemani, who was born in Kosovo but moved to Chicago 25 years ago, went to Syria in 2015 to train with ISIS. He was injured in a battle in 2016 while fighting for ISIS against Syrian forces.
He and his family were captured there in 2019 after pleading guilty. He's now been sentenced to 10 years in prison and then a lifetime of supervised release. His lawyer says that Soleimani isn't a committed jihadist and just wants to find his family and have a life with them after he serves his time. on Russian air bases, specifically bomber aircraft. The explosives were hidden in the roofs of wooden sheds. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy personally okayed the attack. According to officials in Ukraine, the sheds were loaded onto trucks. Those trucks were driven to the perimeter of air bases by unsuspecting drivers. Then thanks to a remote control device, the sheds were lifted, the roofs were lifted, drones flew out, torched more than 40 Russian
