Now, the Penn Wharton budget model says it's estimated that just the safe plan alone would have cost about $550 billion of taxpayer money over 10 years, which would have added to the federal debt and Republicans cheering the cost reductions. And the Supreme Court had ruled against them, the Democrats still sticking and asking Americans to pay more in taxes for government subsidies. Pope Francis gets a visit from Italy's premier during his stay at a hospital as he's being treated for pneumonia. Fox's Grinnell Scott reports. Italian premier Giorgia Maloney described the pope as alert and responsive during her visit to the papal suite at Gemelli Hospital in Rome. Maloney said he still has his sense of humor. Pope Francis is diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs along with a bronchial infection. Maloney is said to be the pontiff's
first visitor outside of staff and his medical team during his hospital stay. Francis, who is 88, is reported by the Vatican to have been eating and out of bed as he recovers. Requests to suppress search warrants and evidence collection methods from a murder suspect's trial have been denied by a judge in Idaho. Fox's Jessica Rosenthal has more. Attorneys for Brian Koberger argued that the way DNA evidence was used to
to identify him as the murder suspect was improper, and so any evidence gathered after that point shouldn't be allowed in at trial. Idaho Judge Stephen Hippler rejected that argument and also said Koberger could not have a separate hearing challenging the police investigation. He's accused of murdering four University of Idaho college students at an off-campus apartment, Madison Mogan, Ethan Chapin, Santa Cronodal, and Kelly Gonsalves.
His trial is expected to begin in August. After jury selection July 30th, he could face the death penalty. Jessica Rosenthal, Fox News. The Trump administration formally designating eight Latin American crime cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.
