A week-long tribute to former President Jimmy Carter culminated Thursday with a state funeral in D.C. President Biden delivering the eulogy for the 39th president, reminiscing about his longtime friend. Jimmy Carter's friendship taught me, and through his life taught me, the strength of character is more than title or the power we hold.
It's the strength to understand that everyone should be treated with dignity, respect. Jimmy Carter's grandson, Jason, sharing the more humorous side of his grandfather and telling a great story about the first time he called him on a cell phone. And on my phone, it said, Papa, mobile.
