He may hold Trump officials in contempt. I'm Carmen Roberts, Fox News. Federal Judge James Boasberg says Trump officials willfully defied his court order. Boasberg says he has given the Trump administration ample opportunity to explain why flights of migrants left for El Salvador last month despite his order stopping them. And that, quote, the court ultimately determines that the government's actions on that day

demonstrate a willful disregard for its order. Sufficient for the court to conclude that probable cause exists to find the government in criminal contempt. The DOJ argues that order was received too late. A White House spokesperson says the president is 100% committed to ensuring that terrorists and criminal illegal migrants are no longer a threat to Americans. Fox's Rich Edson. The Trump administration has appealed that judge's ruling.

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell says growth appears to be slowing and that the central bank will stand down on any interest rate moves for now, mainly due to the Trump tariffs. The level of tariff increases announced so far is significantly larger than anticipated and the same is likely to be true of the economic effects.

New Jersey transit engineers threatened to strike on May 16th after rejecting a labor deal. The engineers who run those trains say they are not getting paid enough. That union, called the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, deal with NJ Transit despite reports of a reasonable wage increase. They say nearly 90% of them, they're prepared to strike by May 16th, claiming the wage increase is still a point of contention. The engineers have been working without a contract.

A lawsuit is expected to follow the deadly police shooting of an Idaho teenager. A California law firm notified the city of Pocatello, Idaho Wednesday it's planning to file a wrongful death lawsuit over the death of Victor Perez. The 17-year-old's family describes the teen as autistic and nonverbal with the mind of a young child. Perez was shot by four Pocatello officers earlier this month after a neighbor called police over a domestic disturbance.

The teen was on the other side of a fenced-in yard and holding a knife at the time. He later died. The family argues the show of force was unnecessary. The Eastern Idaho Critical Incident Task Force is investigating. Tom Graham, Fox News. And attorneys for Sean Diddy Colm say a federal judge in New York should delay his sex trafficking trial by two months so they can better prepare a defense. And the judge says he will address that issue on Friday.
