India says it was striking infrastructure used by militants linked to last month's massacre of Hindu tourists at the Indian-controlled portion of Kashmir. In a post on X, India's army said justice is served.
The foreign ministry in Pakistan acknowledged India's air force did not cross its border, but still violated Pakistan's sovereignty. The escalation has drawn reaction at the United Nations. A spokesperson for the UN secretary general said firing across the military line of control is concerning.

A Motown icon faces multiple accusations of sexual misconduct. Four former housekeepers for Smokey Robinson have filed a lawsuit seeking at least $50 million. They claim Robinson repeatedly sexually assaulted and raped them. We believe that Mr. Robinson is a serial killer.

They say they eventually quit because of the assaults, though in some cases it took several years. The lawsuit also names Robinson's wife, Frances, as a defendant, claiming she enabled his behavior despite knowing about past sexual misconduct.

Montana's governor takes out his veto pen over an effort to ban styrofoam. In a video he posted to X, Republican Governor Greg Gianforte said this about the legislation. Like many Montanans, I enjoy hot coffee in a styrofoam cup because it keeps it hot.
And this bill is a hot mess. He also labeled the bill textbook government overreach. It would have phased out the use of styrofoam containers by 2030, but two years earlier for restaurants and the hospitality industry.
