No D.C. for this Trump. I'm Chris DiMeo, Fox News. President-elect Trump's daughter-in-law says she's not pursuing a Senate seat after all. Laura Trump, Eric Trump's wife, said she is removing herself from consideration for Florida Republican Marco Rubio's seat in the Senate.
She posted on X, after an incredible amount of thought, contemplation and encouragement from so many, I have decided to remove my name from consideration for the United States Senate. She also said she has a big announcement that she'll be sharing in January.
The president-elect had been pressing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to name Laura Trump to serve the last two years of Senator Rubio's current term. Rubio is expected to be stepping away from the Senate after getting nominated to be Secretary of State.
Jill Nadeau, Fox News. There are new developments in the car attack on a German Christmas market which killed at least five people and injured more than 200. Currently, 15 hospitals across Germany are helping some of these victims. Now, this happened, of course, just five days before Christmas. The market in Magdeburg was packed with people enjoying their Friday night with family and friends until around 7 local time when witnesses say a rented black BMW sped straight through the crowd.
Within three minutes, police arrested a 50-year-old Saudi Arabian doctor at gunpoint. Police say he moved to Germany in 2006. He was acting alone and the motive remains unclear. But they did say the suspect was dissatisfied by the treatment of Saudi refugees in Germany and that may have been a factor.

The Atlanta airport alone expects to welcome more than 4 million people for the holidays. So lots of people coming through here this week. It's been pretty smooth so far. There are a good chunk of delays and cancellations nationwide on top of that big influx of people, but it's,
It's the holidays and everyone's staying positive. Holiday travel will likely break records this year. AAA expects nearly 120 million people to travel 50 miles or more. That's up by more than 3 million holiday travelers compared to last year. And most people traveling will drive, but there could be difficulties because of weather. A number of Amazon workers continue to strike at the height of the holiday shopping season. The rush is on to deliver those packages ahead of Christmas, and striking Amazon delivery workers are making their voices heard by slowing down operations here at this facility in the city of industry. While there isn't exactly the line of vans that we saw earlier, and we've got less folks out here on the picket line, really the emphasis was on earlier in the morning when those vans were going on out. But workers here that we've talked to say that they want help.
higher pay as well as better working conditions. Thousands of drivers for firms that contract with Amazon walked off the job across the country Thursday morning. The strike is growing with an additional warehouse on Staten Island joining today. Fox Business's Max Gordon, Amazon says many of the workers aren't Amazon employees but are contractors hired by the company.
A crash between a passenger bus and truck kills 38 people in Brazil. Authorities say all victims have been removed from the site and an investigation will determine what caused the crash. Witnesses say that the bus blew a tire, causing the driver to lose control and collide with the truck.
