Combs, who chose not to testify in the trial, had been accused of flying people around the country, including his girlfriends and paid male sex workers, to engage in sexual encounters, a felony violation of the Federal Man Act. A settlement between the president and Paramount over the edit to a 60 Minutes interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris has one Democratic senator urging an investigation. Paramount says they settled President Trump's lawsuit against 60 Minutes for $16 million that will be paid to his future presidential library. Now, Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling for an investigation into whether or not any anti-bribery laws were broken, though in the same statement she says this settlement exposes a need for rules restricting donations to
to sitting presidents' libraries. She says she'll introduce legislation. Vice President Harris had answered a question about the Middle East that included a shorter answer to a follow-up question, and the shorter answer was used alone in the 60 Minutes broadcast, prompting President Trump to accuse the network of editing in favor of his Democratic opponent.
