He stands behind the report. I'm Carmen Roberts, Fox News. Early this morning, the Justice Department released former special counsel Jack Smith's report on the Trump election interference case. In it, Smith said his office fully stands behind the decision to bring criminal charges against Trump.
Among other things, Smith wrote in the lengthy report that his team stood up for the rule of law as it investigated Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Prosecutors dropped the case after the president-elect won last year's election. Strong Santa Ana winds expected to slam the Los Angeles area over the next two days.
