Back in the U.S., but not for the reason he wanted. I'm Roger Stern, Fox News. Illegal immigrant Kilmar Brego Garcia is back in the U.S. to face charges of smuggling in other immigrants.
Tennessee Republican Congressman Tim Burch had joined Fox News Alert to offer his perspective on what should happen to Abrego Garcia, even as others in Congress think he should be set free. This guy trafficked humans. He was caught in Tennessee. And I think the bigger question is, is is the fact that what happened to those Tennessee state troopers when they called the FBI and the FBI told them to release this guy?
Abrego Garcia was also charged with transporting firearms and illegal drugs. President Trump says he's a bad guy and that the courts will show how horrible the guy is. Abrego Garcia is denied being a gang member.
The feud between the Trump administration and Harvard's ramping up. Fox's C.B. Cotton has the latest from Education Secretary Linda McMahon. The Trump administration now faces its second roadblock when it comes to Harvard, at least. Late Thursday night, U.S. District Judge Alison Burroughs issued a temporary restraining order blocking a proclamation by President Trump which aimed to bar foreign students from entering the U.S. to attend the Ivy League.
