In Las Vegas, where a rented Tesla Cybertruck filled with explosives blew up right outside the Trump International Hotel. The vehicles used in both this and the New Orleans incident were rented from the same rideshare company, Turo. In a statement, the spokesperson from that company said, we are heartbroken by the violence perpetrated in New Orleans.

wasn't the only New Year's Day massacre. There was another one overseas where 12 people were murdered in Montenegro. A massacre in Montenegro, the small Balkan states in shock after a gunman opened fire in six different locations in a town called Seteñi. Among the dead, a bar owner, his two children and other family members. Attacker Azo Martinovic fled but was later surrounded by police and killed himself with a shot to the head.
Officials say the 45-year-old was at the bar all day before a brawl broke out. He went home and returned with his weapon. Montenegro's government's declared three days of mourning. Prime Minister Miloš Košpájec says he may try to impose a total ban on firearms. Jonathan Savage, Fox News. There was also a shooting late last night in New York City. Gunmen opened fire on a crowd outside a nightclub in Jamaica, Queens, then fled. At least 10 people were wounded, mostly teenagers.
On Wall Street, rising futures suggest gains to start the new year after a positive 2024 for the stock market. The Dow rose about 13%. The Nasdaq surged up 29%. Two more teams advance to the college football playoff semifinals. Texas and Ohio State will face off in the Cotton Bowl with a national championship game berth on the line after both teams walked away Wednesday with victories.
After letting a 16.4th quarter lead slip away, Texas managed to finish off Arizona State in double overtime. Hook them horns! They're headed home to Texas to play!
