They didn't get that, so thousands of workers at Amazon warehouses from California to New York walked off the job an hour ago. The Teamsters are representing Amazon's unionized warehouse workers, and they're calling for them to walk off the job.
Amazon refuses to recognize and negotiate a contract with them, and that's been happening since they decided to vote for a union. And the workers are upset about pay, benefits, working conditions. Amazon also says that most of those on strike now aren't even Amazon employees, calling them third-party delivery drivers.

But Fed officials signal that they expect to reduce rates more slowly next year than previously envisioned, largely because of still hot inflation. Fed officials are penciling in two cuts for 2025 if the economy grows steadily and if inflation continues to decline. In September, officials had penciled in around four cuts next year.
