three-day trip to Ontario, Canada he made a week later. We have also learned Jabbar made at least two trips to New Orleans last year. The New York judge overseeing President-elect Trump's hush money trial has denied Trump's request to delay sentencing while his lawyers appeal. Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan has ordered sentencing to proceed as scheduled Friday, a little more than a week before Trump's inauguration. Earlier this afternoon, Trump's election was certified. Vice President Kamala Harris presided over a joint session of the House and Senate as each state's electoral result was reported.
As the count was complete, Harris did what just a few of her predecessors have done before, declaring her opponent the election winner. Donald J. Trump of the state of Florida has received 312 votes. The certification was without any objection.
