Back to a Category 5, I'm Lisa Lucera, Fox News. Hurricane Milton has re-strengthened as it approaches Florida's Gulf Coast, with forecasters warning people who are told to evacuate to do so, calling the expected storm surge unsurvivable, as Florida's governor updates his state's readiness for the storm. Governor DeSantis used an equipment staging area in Ocala as a backdrop to tell residents that Milton remains a potentially catastrophic storm.

and that the state is ready to respond. One concern remains debris leftover from Hurricane Helene. Governor DeSantis says state transportation workers are trying to clear that. - The more debris we can get picked up, the less damage is gonna happen.

President Biden setting a 10-year deadline for cities across the country to replace lead pipes. There's no safe, no safe level of lead exposure, period. None.

The barrage of lawsuits against a popular social media platform continues. More than a dozen states and D.C. are suing TikTok, accusing the short-form video app of harming youth mental health with an app designed to be addictive to young people. The separate lawsuits stem from an investigation into TikTok launched in 2022 by a bipartisan coalition of attorneys general from several states, including California, Kentucky, and New Jersey. At the heart of each lawsuit is the TikTok

TikTok algorithm, which powers what users see with content tailored to their interests. TikTok doesn't allow kids under 13 to sign up and restrict some content for everyone under 18. But critics say those restrictions can easily be bypassed. Lillian Wu, Fox News.

News. Federal judges rule the Federal Trade Commission can proceed with a lawsuit against Amazon. The FTC and the attorneys general of 18 states in Puerto Rico claim Amazon is abusing its position in the marketplace to inflate prices, overcharge sellers, and stifle competition.

A Boston Red Sox legend has died. Former Major League Baseball pitcher Louis Tiant has died at age 83. Born in Cuba, Tiant won 229 games over 19 seasons from 1964 to 1982. Pitching for Cleveland, Minnesota, Boston, the Yankees, Pirates, and Angels, Tiant was a three-time All-Star who twice posted his league's lowest ERA. His longest tenure was with the Red Sox from 1971 to 78. Four times in his career, Tiant won at least 20 games in a season.

His career record, 229 and 172, with a 3.30 earned run average. A fan favorite and avid cigar smoker, Louis Tiant established his own line of cigars called El Tiante, his baseball nickname. Fox's Jared Max, Major League Baseball's announcer, will produce and distribute local broadcasts for the Cleveland Guardians, Milwaukee Brewers, and Minnesota Twins next year.
