The Trump administration is eliminating 2,000 positions. It's placing all but a fraction of the other staffers around the globe on leave. The move comes after a federal judge, Carl Nichols,
ruled on Friday that the White House could move forward with the firings. Nichols rejected arguments in a lawsuit from employees that said ending the jobs would cause undue economic and other harm to them. President Trump's chief cost cutter, Elon Musk, said the aid development and the work that the agency did is wasteful and it furthers a liberal agenda.
The Vatican says Pope Francis continues to make small improvements as he recovers from double pneumonia. And they say at this point, small improvements are a big deal. But they say the pontiff is still in critical condition. He was admitted back on February 14th and has been getting treatment for double pneumonia and a complex lung infection. But it hasn't stopped him from posting on social media where he thanked people from
all over the world for their closeness and their prayers. There are a few factors impacting his condition and his road to recovery. The Palestinian Prisoner Society says Israel has delayed the expected release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and detainees until further notice.
