Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick says a deal is in the works between the U.S., Canada and Mexico after the U.S. imposed 25 percent tariffs on those countries. Lutnick says it's about preventing fentanyl from coming into this country. He tells Fox Business' Larry Kudlow China promised to stop components of the drug from getting across our borders, but they did not. If they stop it, then we talk about April 2nd, which is what? Reciprocal tariffs.

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis delivers his State of the State address as the Florida Legislature begins a new session. Governor DeSantis cited his state's actions so far to help fight illegal immigration, saying, We are not a sanctuary state. We are a rule of law state. He also heralded efforts the state has made to reduce taxes and help citizens who need assistance
when powerful storms affect them. He mentioned the Hope Florida initiative that helps with debris removal and recovery after damaging storms. With the future of FEMA in question, Governor DeSantis noted, The Hope Florida model is now being replicated by other states around the country. Governor DeSantis has also announced a Florida version of DOGE to root out government waste.
Colonel Scott, Fox News. The Vatican says Pope Francis is in stable condition and breathing well with supplemental oxygen after respiratory crises yesterday. He'll resume using a ventilation mask at night. The 88-year-old has chronic lung disease and had part of a lung removed as a young man. He was hospitalized last month after bronchitis developed into pneumonia.
Students who took part in anti-Israel protests at New York City's Columbia University last year are being punished. One student was suspended and another one was expelled. President Trump is threatening to imprison agitators, saying all federal funding will stop for any college, school or university that allows illegal protests to go on. Writing agitators will be imprisoned or permanently sent back to the country from which they came. American students will be permanently expelled.
