We have a five out of five level when it comes to the level of severe weather we could experience here going into the overnight hours. But it states from Louisiana, even going east to us in Georgia,
even Florida and north of us in Tennessee included in that threat area. One thing emergency managers are telling me, they want people to have a plan in place. Know where you will go if there is a tornado. Watch. Also make sure you have things with you like shoes. Meanwhile, blizzard warnings are impacting the northern plains and the Midwest.

The federal government remains open today, this after Congress passed a spending bill avoiding a government shutdown at the last minute. Fox's Madeline Rivera has the latest from Washington. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is facing the brunt of this party's anger after he led a group of nine other Democrats.
to advance a key procedural vote on the Republican stopgap spending bill that put the bill on a glide path to final passage. It ultimately cleared the Senate 54 to 46 with independent Maine Senator Angus King and Democratic New Hampshire Senator Gene Shaheen siding with Republicans to vote yes. Schumer struggled over this bill for days. After initially railing against it, he decided to back it, saying the alternative would have been worse. Our caucus members have two bad choices. Democrat
wanted the bill to have assurances that the Trump administration will spend money the way Congress had intended. The bill keeps the government funded through September and maintains 2024 spending limits. crew members are in that SpaceX Dragon capsule racing around the Earth at more than 17,000 miles an hour. They launch Friday evening. Docking is scheduled for 11.30 Eastern tonight. The arrival of four fresh crew members will allow four members of the previous mission to return to Earth, including NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sonny Williams, who've been working on the space station since June when their Boeing Starliner spacecraft experienced intermittent thruster problems.
The space station is scheduled to be decommissioned in 2030 and replaced by commercial options. But NASA says its low orbit research is necessary as preparations for a longer space trip.
