Elon Musk to the Pentagon. I'm Chris Foster, Fox News. Got there a little while ago for meetings with senior defense department officials about his Doge efficiency and cost-cutting efforts. They say not China. President Trump and top defense officials are denying a report in the New York Times that Elon Musk is being briefed on top secret war plans about any potential conflict with China.
This is egregious. This is fake. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell says Musk is visiting the Pentagon as part of the department's commitment to find waste, fraud and abuse in defense spending. Every dollar that we save here in a wasteful spending program is a dollar that we could reinvest in the warfighters. There are protests at the Education Department and legal challenges planned against President Trump's order to break up the federal education department. We're going to be returning education very simply back to the states where it belongs. And this is a very popular thing to do. But much more importantly, it's a common sense thing to do. There's a 2.30 p.m. Eastern Time federal court hearing in D.C. today about the Trump administration using the Alien Enemies Act to deport accused gang members and not turning around deportation flights the judge had ordered stopped. There's a ripple effect on flights worldwide from a fire in London. Flights either headed to or coming from London Heathrow are canceled or backed up due to nearby electrical fires, and that's affecting flights everywhere else in the world from Taiwan to Bangkok.
Even U.S. flights from New York's JFK on both Delta and American Airlines had to be canceled. One Singapore Airlines plane flying to London was forced to land in Frankfurt, Germany.
