President Trump warns Hamas. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News, posting on Truth Social last night. Release all the hostages in Gaza, those alive and the dead bodies of the ones murdered, or it is over for you. It'll give Israel everything it needs to finish the job. It comes after the president met with hostages who'd been released in the Oval Office. Will you all take it or not to overseas? So this was hell, huh?
It was the worst thing that anybody can go through. The administration's been holding direct talks with Hamas over the release of the hostages and also a broader deal to end the war that makes direct contact with a terrorist organization for the first time against longtime precedent. The president's also still trying to end Russia's war in Ukraine. Special US envoy to both countries Keith Kellogg tells Fox: Look, you've got to come to some type of negotiated solution to this. This war is not going to be decided on the battlefield. It's just not. European leaders are gathered at a summit. Leaders are worried they can no longer rely on steadfast support from the United States. This following the Trump administration making overtures to Moscow and pausing weapons and intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
France is now open to using its nuclear arsenal to protect European allies. This is Jonathan Savage. President Trump may sign an executive order today. The Wall Street Journal reports would instruct the new education secretary, Linda McMahon, to eliminate her department, saying the experiment of controlling American education through federal programs has failed. McMahon was officially sworn into Trump's cabinet this past Monday. She does say that fully eliminating the department would require Congress to take action. The order has been in the works since.
