Russia's war in Ukraine turns three years old. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News. Russia invaded on this day in 2022. And while European leaders and Canada's prime minister gather in Ukraine, Spain is offering an additional billion dollars worth of military aid. But not the U.S. right now. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth tells Fox News Sunday President Trump wants the war to end. The president is focused on one thing and one thing only. And that's stopping the killing and the destruction across Ukraine and ensuring an enduring peace.

peace. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has offered to resign if there is a peace deal and Ukraine's allowed to join NATO. He's rejecting an American attempt to share profits from Ukraine's rare earth minerals because there's no U.S. security guarantee and all that's up for discussion today. French President Emmanuel Macron arrives here at the White House for the first time in President Trump's second term. Europe and NATO allies are pushing for a larger role in peace talks

after a high-ranking U.S. delegation met with Russian counterparts last week in Saudi Arabia. This is Fox's Jared Halpern. Pope Francis remains in critical condition, battling pneumonia. But the 88-year-old pope is said to be alert after the pope slept and the night went well. He's still receiving oxygen, the blood transfusions. There are also signs of what the vacuum is calling kidney insufficiency. Needless to say, the prognosis remains whimsical.

guarded. Fox's Lauren Green in Rome. More than a thousand workers at the U.S. Agency for International Development being fired. Staffers overseas put on leave as the Trump administration calls USAID out of control with wasteful spending as other federal workers are on deadline to respond to an email to list their accomplishments last week, pushed by Doge leader Elon Musk. Saying failure to respond would be taken as an act of resignation. But some

agencies are telling their employees to not respond just yet. So it's unclear whether there would be repercussions for not responding. Fox's Madeline Rivera must just posted on X this morning that federal employees have ignored the Trump order to return to the office. Will he put on leave this week? America's listening to Fox News.

There is more tension in the Middle East. Israeli tanks rolled into the West Bank for the first time in decades. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calls it a mission to thwart terrorism there. Palestinian leaders call it a dangerous escalation. Netanyahu also refusing to release 620 Palestinian prisoners who were supposed to be exchanged for the last six hostages Hamas set free from Gaza Saturday to finish out phase one of the ceasefire.

Special Envoy Steve Witkoff on CBS Face the Nation says he will spend up to five days visiting several nations, Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia among them. He said ensuring Face 2 of the ceasefire is a priority as well as getting American hostage Idan Alexander home. He's critical. It's a

One of President Trump's most important objectives is to get all Americans home. Israel saying Hamas is subjecting hostages to humiliating public displays. Grinnell Scott, Fox News. On Wall Street, there could be a rebound from Friday's big sell-off when the Dow plunged 748 points to cap off a losing week. Right now, Dow futures are up more than 300 points.

Just like Daytona, a dramatic finish on the NASCAR track. The second race of the NASCAR Cup Series season headed to overtime at Atlanta Motor Speedway. But instead of a fight to the finish, it was decided when another caution flag came out just a little after the restart. Video showed Christopher Bell barely ahead of both Kyle Larson and Carson Hoschever, giving him his 10th career victory, despite the fact that he hadn't led a single lap before that. That right there.

right there is what you dream of. You never know how those things are going to play out, but I'll be the first to tell you, I love super speedways. Bell courtesy of Fox Sports. Greg Thompson, Fox News. On the ice, Alex Ovechkin netted a hat trick in Washington's 7-3 win over Edmonton. Ovechkin's three goals put him just 12 shy of tying Wayne Gretzky's NHL record of 894 career goals. I'm Dave Anthony. This is Fox News.
