Come the day after European leaders gathered in Paris to discuss their response to a peace agreement. President Putin has to realize that at this moment, NATO is able to defend itself. If he would try to capture one square mile of Estonia or Poland or whatever territory in NATO, the reaction will be devastating.

But NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte says that will only remain the case if NATO allies boost defense spending, a key request of President Trump as well. Ukrainian officials are not expected to be represented, at least yet, when U.S. officials meet with a Russian delegation in Saudi Arabia.

The census is scheduled to take place over the coming days across L.A. counties, starting in places like the San Fernando Valley. The count is used to help the authority deliver services to indigent people living on the streets, a situation that has grown significantly worse in Los Angeles in recent years.
