TikTok. It's truly a mystery. And I think TikTok can really be a great outlet for creators to get themselves out there and promote their brand more. Some of the most popular creators out right now, you wouldn't even know them if it weren't for TikTok. But it also spawned in a lot of clout chasers, people that will do anything for views, and just a bunch of cringy-ass content. So to say the least, there are some stupid-ass motherf-

is on here and of course when you bring a bunch of stupid people together you get stupid ideas and well that's why today i decided to grab a bunch of tick tock trends that i've seen throughout the years some iconic some cringe and some make me realize why natural selection exists but anyways we're gonna start with 2018 and go all the way to present day

Now, TikTok was created in late 2018 of TikTok merged with Musical.ly and yeah, shit, it was the best decision they ever made. Because after Vine died, people couldn't get enough of six second videos and TikTok became that supplier. So in 2018, 19, there was just a lot of short, dumb videos going viral. It wasn't anything crazy. It was just like someone doing a stupid dance or a song or whatever. It was harmless. When I first downloaded TikTok, I was a freshman in high school, bro. And I was f***ed.

Hooked like I just could not get off that shit. I was just scrolling endlessly looking for an even funnier meme All right I was looking for some memes to send in the group chat But then all of a sudden my scrolling was getting interrupted by these videos. I hated this trend It was so annoying like I'm surprised this shit didn't sell triple cardboard, bro But instead everyone in their mama was posting videos of them lip-syncing this some people consider this the good old days of tik-tok But dude, I could not agree with you on that one

Then you had this trend where you try to make a video with no hands. I literally walked in on somebody doing this shit in the school bathroom and I was like, yo, what did I just walk into? I heard ZZ by Kodak Black playing and I already knew it was over. And by far the most annoying one was the I want to be Tracer thing. Like, f*** that. Honestly, I'm probably-

Mom, Dad, I humbly suggest you save some money and shop Amazon for back to school. It's for my growth, meaning my body's growing at an alarming rate. And clothes you buy me this year will be very small very soon. Plus, the clothes I love today will be out of style tomorrow. But at least your wallet doesn't have to be my fashion victim. It's a good thing.

if you shop low prices for school at Amazon. Hopefully this is helpful. Amazon. Spend less, smile more. This episode is brought to you by Experian. Just talking to a wall. None of you probably knew what that trend was. I'm definitely getting a lot of comments calling me an old head as we speak. But honestly, bro, I couldn't agree with you more. 2020? Yeah, I don't even want to f***ing talk about it. Everybody knows it was a s*** year. We couldn't leave the house, so we were just stuck on our computers and phones all day. I mean, what else were we gonna do besides watch YouTube or TikTok? But TikTok was a huge success in 2018 and 19. So obviously, they wanted to start paying their creators. They wanted to compete with

platforms like YouTube. So they opened their own creator fund. And honestly, unless you were one of the top creators, you made Jack shit. So everybody wanted to be one of the top creators and really start making bread off TikTok. So people like Charlie D'Amelio, Bryce Hall and all them, they went viral a year prior and they looked at them and they were like, oh my God,

be a TikTok star too. And this is where the doing anything for clout meta began. So people started doing the most ridiculous things they could possibly think of. There was a trend created for peeing yourself. If that's not stupid, I don't know what is. Like, wow, good shit. Now you got to throw away those pair of jeans you just took a piss in.

It's fine. I'll just what bro you pissed all over it. Just washing it is not gonna save you No amount of laundry detergent is gonna get rid of that must there was other really stupid ones as well Like people just started licking random shit and I guess their goal with this one was to keep us in our houses even longer like

bro, what is wrong with you? They wanted to spread their germs as much as possible. And of course, since we were all in Zoom class back then, a bunch of Zoom trolling videos spawned in. And of course, this one wasn't terrible, but some of them were just so painfully unfunny. The what I eat in a day trend was also created in 2020. Now, some of these videos were just normal, but others were just like,

Nick Avocado Mukbangs just dropped in front of my face. Honestly, I really don't know much of these challenges. I'm doing my research as I record this. There were some, quote, challenges that were harmless in this year. There was one where you just buy people shit from Target. I didn't watch stuff like that, but some of you might know what I'm talking about. But

Then there's stuff like the Cha-Cha Slide Challenge. Like, why was this ever created? Like, who thought this shit was a good idea? This just involves you driving like an idiot. This challenge basically was like you- Never mind, I'm not explaining this one. I don't want this video to get a strike. Sorry. Bro, if that's not asking to get into a car accident, I don't know what is. And there was one involving Benadryl as well. I don't even want to get into that.

bro. It's bad. But of course, as we continued on into 2021, things for TikTok really only got worse.

But yeah, I would be so real right now This has got to be one of the worst years in this video for sure at this point my addiction for the app Just got even worse. I really don't know how I used it so much There was a lot more harmful trends and a bunch of clout chaser spawning in this year There were some harmless ones like that one adult swim thing as the year went on if things just got crazy people started stealing shit from their school bathrooms and called that shit a challenge and this trend was the

for many more stupid ones. And this trend came out late 2021. And at this point, I was just starting college. And sometimes I would walk into the bathroom and just see shit missing. Like I couldn't even live a normal life, bro. And one time I was walking on campus, somebody tried stealing a bench. Like some of the stuff people were stealing, bro. Like what

even gonna do with that people were taking soap dispensers out of their bag like it was some kind of flex it got to the point where principals around the world were crying for mercy they were like please stop the uh the devious lex thank you like if i was a principal at this point i just would have went homeless on the street and quit my job i wouldn't have gave a fuck anymore

'Cause that is better than dealing with a bunch of idiots stealing shit. After that, there were challenges such as slap a teacher. Yes, people would literally just slap their teacher for no reason, other than TikTok Cloud. There's people doing stupid-ass pranks in the middle of grocery stores, and then you had people dancing on graves. That shit deadass like getting emoted on in real life, bro.

Nah, me personally, I would come back to life and slap the fuck out of them. I don't care, bro. No one's disrespecting me like that. And some of the people doing these challenges were grown. But I was the victim of one of the prime trends in college at the time. People would go up to random doors, blast Kesha on their speakers,

bang on their doors and run away. There was a few times that that happened to my door. And unfortunately, one of the times it was very late at night and I was trying to sleep. So I opened the door and saw nothing. They just skirted from the scene. And when I first saw this trend on TikTok, I finally put the pieces together. Now that one wasn't the worst, but it just got really annoying fast. But as we move on to the next year, a lot of people just thought they were cooking. But in reality though, they were making that straight dog ass.

so 2022 was a year where many stupid recipes surfaced on tick tock there were videos of people making the weirdest food combination starting to go extremely viral like they put the most random ingredients together and they're calling that a recipe like bro hop out the kitchen right now bro you're not gordon ramsay there's this person pouring nielsen coffee cream and eggs in a dorito bag and the craziest part is some people follow these

pages and say, "Ah, you know, I gotta try these recipes at home with the kids." And for those of you that are curious, here is the end product of that recipe.

Never step in the kitchen again. What the... But then, of course, you had pink sauce, where this person made a combination of a bunch of sauces, milk. I think dragon fruit was in the recipe. But there was so much buzz around this because everybody wanted to know what was in pink sauce. It was the mystery on everybody's mind. So she decided, oh, hey, let me sell this. She mailed them...

without cold packaging and they ended up going bad. But eventually she just changed the ingredients and put it in every local Walmart. I've just seen it walking in Walmart and I'm like, yo, that shit actually looks nasty. Some of my friends tried it and they thought it was disgusting. But later in the year, there were TikTokers who made this recipe called green chicken?

But goddamn, if you're really that bad at cooking, bro, you could just go to Popeye's, KFC, Zaxby's, Chick-fil-A, like the list goes on. But instead, they decided to make this abomination on the screen right now, which consisted of chicken and cough medicine. I mean, they were pretty much making lean chicken. The subway surfer, family guy, trendsponding, which honestly was kind of smart, I'm not gonna lie, but bro. But sometimes I be seeing fucks.

four videos in one, which is fucking ridiculous. Like my brain would actually explode watching that. Like my attention span is fucking cooked. Like there's no saving me, bro. There were also a bunch of cheating pranks. I would genuinely have trust issues after that shit. There were also those garbage ass interviews on TikTok or that one that was like, what song are you listening to right now? Now I was just walking around my neighborhood. Some kid went up to me and asked me that. And then I just said to him, Pokemon heart gold and soul silver OST. And I just fucking walked

No, I'm just playing. I'm playing. But as we enter 2023, TikTok trends definitely got weirder. I'll say that for sure. So this year, there were a few that stuck out to me. Ix. Yeah, this one's gotta go. Like after seeing some of these, I don't know if I'm ever gonna get a girlfriend, bro. I think I'm cooked. I mean, some of these I can see why people wouldn't find that attractive. You know, I understand. But bro, there's some things on this list. Like, bro, are you serious? Like, for example, listens to Future. Like, yo, what did my boy Future?

Hey bitch

Like, that's just stupid as hell. Why would I do that? Pressing the traffic light button and waiting for the green man. Yeah, I think I'd much rather press the button and not get ran over. I'm not getting hit by a car because of your stupid ass ick. Another trend that was really popular this year was the Stanley Cup.

Literally everyone has a Stanley Cup. I don't know who Stanley is, but bro, this dude is a next level marketing genius. And bro, I'm not even playing. Even my mom has one. But people were going crazy for Stanley Cups, even though it was just a cup. People were fiending for it. And why? I don't know, honestly. I mean, it's a nice cup, but like, it's not that deep, bro.

There was another one at colleges again, and it was called a Borg. And a Borg had enough shots to get an elephant drunk. People would put Gatorade in it and would drink the entire thing and think the electrolytes are just gonna fix it. Like, no, it's not, bro. You're going to the hospital if you drink that much. No idea what it was with this year in drinks, but the Grimace Shake was a trend, and people made a challenge out of it where they would pretend

to die after drinking the shake. And now, it wasn't bad. It's probably one of the better ones on this list, but it was just kind of weird in my opinion. But so far, 2024 is looking pretty bad, I'm not gonna lie. And well, here we are, present day. Now, a trend that I saw pop up early this year was the whole looks maxing thing. And honestly, I think it's a good thing to improve your looks, but like, bro, these TikTok kids are just annoying about it. Since when do you need a mewing playlist with villain arc-ass music?

Yo, do you want to go to this restaurant that just opened up in town? I heard it's pretty gassed. Sorry, bro. I'm too busy mewing. Get the fuck off the line. Oh.

Okay, my bad, my-- And there was a deep-ass rabbit hole for this topic that I really don't want to get into. Another one I saw this year, people were recording themselves getting laid off from their jobs. And their future employers are gonna find that video, so honestly, I think they're screwing themselves over if they try to get a job in the future. Then there were girls that just started running tests on their boyfriend like they were some kind of lab experiment. There was one called the "Orange Peel Theory."

The concept of this theory was the girlfriend would ask for an orange, and if the boyfriend didn't get them the orange and peel it, that's a sign to them that they should end the relationship. Oh my god, queen, run! He didn't peel you an orange! Bro, it's a f***ing orange. If a relationship ends over an orange, goddamn, y'all shouldn't even have been together in the first place. There was another one called the bird theory, where basically the girlfriend would say, hey, there's a bird outside the window. And if they just didn't stop what they were doing and look at the bird,

They're a bad boyfriend, apparently. Oh my God, queen, get out! Like, if I ever get a girlfriend and she was like, oh my God, can I record this stupid TikTok challenge of you? No, fuck no. And yo, I kid you not, bro. Remember the whole Epstein Island thing? After that, bro, my friends scrolled five videos straight. They were all memes of Stephen Hawking. That whole thing took the internet by storm, bro. It was crazy. You cannot scroll at all without seeing a meme about it.

This next one's really stupid. It's not like a big trend or anything, but it's something I've seen pop up on TikTok lately. Streamers obviously want to do anything they can to get a good clip, right? Some people just decided to take it way too far. There was this one guy who faked a video of him sticking a fork in a...

poster. It was the stupidest shit ever. And then so many people did the same thing, trying to recapture that same success. And these people were dead ass just trying to cosplay as dumb ways to die. One dude hopped in a fucking washing machine. And let me just be a hundred percent honest with you. You're not going to grow that way. People are only going to care about the stupid stunts you do. And let that be the moral of this video. Don't do stupid shit for clout.
