She stopped because she experienced imposter syndrome, questioning whether she had the credentials to give advice.
Her advice is to stop comparing your timeline to others and trust that your journey is unique. She emphasizes that catching up happens quickly and communication is key in relationships.
She advises focusing on what interests you rather than feeling pressured to know your entire future. She suggests majoring in something that excites you or trying jobs in fields that intrigue you.
She mentions that the brain finishes developing in the mid to late 20s, making it unreasonable to expect 18-year-olds to have their lives fully figured out.
She recommends identifying what you genuinely enjoy doing, such as storytelling, organizing, or comforting others, and pursuing opportunities that allow you to utilize those skills.
She compares life to a blank canvas, where each person paints their own unique piece of art, free from societal expectations.
She advises focusing on making yourself proud, particularly by maintaining a strong work ethic and being a good person, which she believes sets you free from caring about external opinions.
[HOLIDAY RERUN] if you're a long-time listener of anything goes, you might remember a little series i used to do called advice session, where i would ask you to submit current challenges and struggles that you're dealing with, and i would take a few of them and give my advice. i think the reason why i stopped doing this series was because i had imposter syndrome about whether or not i had the credentials to give advice. however, i enjoy giving advice and so we're bringing it back. i have the best intentions and i want you to win in life! but still, take everything i say with a grain of salt.
if you’re struggling with something right now and want my advice, send me a dm on the anything goes instagram page https://www.instagram.com/anythinggoes/?hl=en
