And thus, my friends, it has begun. Donald Trump is deploying 1,500 troops to the southern border. Reports of deportation raids are already underway. Asylum access has been cut off to those seeking to enter the country illegally. And now we are hearing that Donald Trump intends to send an additional 8,500 troops to the southern border. And dare I say, my friends, it certainly makes a lot of sense

You want to make an argument to me about the deploying U.S. military assets, Ukraine funding, Israel, Taiwan, you name it. Make your arguments and I'm going to stop you right there and say California is on fire right now. If we're going to send the military anywhere for any emergency, let's see what our various men and women in uniform who have signed up to help and serve this country can do for us where it actually matters. That is those ravaged by the hurricanes and those in California facing serious disaster.

Now, OK, you might be saying, Tim, we don't need active duty troops to fight a fire. They're not equipped for it. Maybe there's something we can do. OK, I know, because the next step would be how about we use our armed forces to defend our nation? It's a novel thought. Call me old fashioned. But I think those who sign up to protect and serve this country should protect and serve this country, not be in faraway lands fighting for what?

contractors, hegemonic power. I know that's too cliche to say. It's unfair because it's a simplistic argument. But what are they really doing? And I say the military industrial complex, the machine state, what are they really doing with these incursions in these foreign lands? Now, I get it's

We want global authority, supremacy, the petrodollar, etc. It does, in a sense, protect American interests in that, you know, we utilize the force of the military to prop up the petrodollar, which means we don't have to do anything here in the United States. We just print the money.

OK, I'll tell you this right now. We have what? What? 20. Depending on what source you're going to go to, you're going to see estimates ranging from 11 million to 20 million illegal migrants coming in to the United States. And this is one of the largest mass migrations in human history.

So Donald Trump is going to send some troops down the southern border and and I'm here for it. And as I already mentioned, ice raids are underway. And, you know, I don't want to bury the lead in this one. It's too good. It's too good. And I got a comment there like, you see how Tim's doing the hand thing like Trump? I'm doing it on purpose. I'm doing the Trump accordion hands because I'm talking about Donald Trump.

This one's too good to bury the lead on. So let me just show you this from NBC Boston and we will get to it. I'll go back after federal agents spotted in East Boston. Concerns grow over potential ICE rates. The poor criminal immigrants who break our laws violate our goodwill. Heavens, what will we do? We are so worried. OK, here's a WCVB Boston's newsleader.

New York man arrested during human trafficking raid in Alston, Boston. Police say, uh-huh. Now, I know you're probably saying a New York man, Tim. Listen, we are conducting law enforcement raids and they're saying, oh, heavens me, we're so worried. But bad people are getting arrested. So don't come to me and say, oh, no.

I'm going to say we have laws in this country. It is shockingly insane. I will tell you this, my friends. At a certain point, you are aiding and abetting criminals. And I want to see law enforcement action. Now, Trump has given the green light to use military equipment for migrant repatriation, they call it.

Yeah, OK. You know, I'm going to say it again before we get into all this news, my friends. I don't understand how the left can make an argument that giving someone a ride home is torturous. Literally, you come over to my house uninvited and you knock on the door and I say, OK, fine, I guess you can come in and hang out. And you do. And then midnight's rolling around. And I'm like, my dude, you got to go. And they're like, well, I have no way to get home. And it's like, OK,

I'm going to call you an Uber. They're going to drive you home. And then, oh, he had. Why would you do that? Forcing them to leave your home? Well, I'm giving him a free ride. I didn't have to come here. No one told them they could stay here. We actually, in fact, told them they couldn't and they came anyway. And the left is acting like Donald Trump. Giving people a ride back to their home countries is so awful. Yeah, but at my house, we don't have Buffalo Wild Wings.

Now, the left is going to say that they're asylum seekers and it's dangerous. Now, get out of here with that garbage. When I think it was the New York Times or the L.A. Times interviewed migrants in the caravan coming through Mexico, literally you had a quote from a guy who says, I miss Buffalo Wild Wings. And I know it's not indicative of all of the sentiment coming from many of these people. They do want a better economy. And America certainly got it.

But they're economic migrants coming for a better life. So it's like if you're home, you shut up to your house, you've told not to come. And it's because you got a big screen TV and a PS5 and you're playing Marvel Rivals. And he's like, bro, I really want to play that game. And you're like, yeah, but you can't stay at my house, dude. I let you stay here. I was being nice. I'm getting you an Uber home. But if I go home, I won't be able to watch movies or play Marvel Rivals. And that's just too bad for you. Sorry, guy. I have no obligation to give you my stuff.

Before we get into the news from the AP, make sure you head over to TimCast.com and click join us because we've got three episodes of the Green Room behind the scenes show hanging out at CPI. I believe the Heritage Foundation, I don't know, Conservative Partnership Institute, really awesome place in D.C., bumped into a lot of really cool people. And behind the scenes, we are talking with Angela McArdle about how she got Ross Ulbricht pardoned and hearing her talk about how she met Donald Trump.

It's so good. I'm sorry. It's so good.

I can't tell you the whole story because it's like a 40 minute long thing. I think the story's only like five or 10 minutes, but telling how Trump reacted to the request to pardon Ross Ulbricht, you got to see it. Go to TimCast.com, click join us, become a member, watch the members only uncensored green room episodes. And we also have Dominic Tarczynski talking about the actions that Poland is willing to take to prevent illegal immigration, which is spicy. But hey, that's a country that has a law.

Wait till you hear what he says about how Poland is dealing with this issue because spicy, I'll say the least. And also Casperoo.com, all that good stuff. Here's a story from the AP News.

The Pentagon said Wednesday it has begun deploying 1,500 active duty troops to help secure the southern border, putting in motion plans Trump laid out in executive orders shortly after he took office to crack down on immigration. Acting Defense Secretary Robert Solesas said the troops will fly helicopters to assist Border Patrol agents and help in the construction of barriers. The Pentagon also will provide military aircraft for Department of Homeland Security deportation flights for more than 5,000 detained migrants.

The number of troops and their mission may soon change, Celeste has said in a statement. This is just the beginning. In short order, the department will develop and execute additional missions in cooperation with DHS federal agencies and state partners to address the full range of threats outlined by the president at our nation's borders. And we have updates from the Washington Post.

Trump shuts off access to asylum, plans to send 10,000 troops to the border. A briefing document provides an early glimpse into real world application of Trump's executive orders on immigration at the border. And look what they're doing. These are the dirty games they play, my friends, and I am not going to tolerate it.

It's a picture. It says a woman on the Paso del Norte International Border Bridge in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, learns the appointment she made to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection CBP-1 application has been canceled soon after Trump was sworn into office. Why? Why choose this photo of this poor woman crying?

because they are attempting to manipulate you. The issue at play is not stories of this woman seeking a better life. The issue at play is that fentanyl has been poured across the border. Gangs have been trafficking children. And I'm going to tell you this. If even one child, one child is trafficked into slavery. Shut it down. I don't care. You want to come here for a better life. You're not supposed to be coming here illegally as it is. But I can certainly understand when our government, Donald Trump says we're going to have enforcement action. We will process asylum requests and we'll keep it to a minimum number. I'm like, there's arguments to be made. But the moment we learn that it is not all just people saying, please help me. I need a better life.

It is actually traffickers and gangs. I say, sorry, you guys got to go. OK, you turn around and you go to the port of entry and you felt the form like anybody else because we will not tolerate a single child being sold into slavery. Sorry. We were talking the other day about the TikTok ban. And you guys know where I'm at on that one. And Angela McArdle made a point where she said there are people who run stores on TikTok and they sell mugs. Like, why should they have their access taken away over censorship or these other issues? And I'll say it again.

I get it, but I will not have my heartstrings pulled to manipulate me into into allowing evil people to do evil. Tick tock. OK, I don't want to get into the whole debate, but if there is a risk to our security through data spying, data collection and propaganda from the Chinese Communist Party, I'm not going to sit here and be like, but won't you think of the people who sell mugs? You can sell mugs on any other website. Thank you and have a nice day. That's the game they're going to play. The cartels know.

The corporate journalists who support child trafficking, and they do know. Get this picture of the crying woman. How about you show a picture of an angry, belligerent gang member with an automatic rifle grabbing a children by the neck, screaming, saying, why can't I continue my operations? Show that show that that's what Trump shut down. I it's emotional manipulation and I'm not here for it. You're not going to manipulate me. Sorry. Some people are going to fall for it. It's like that meme.

It's someone says, oh, no, the child is crying. Quick, burn the Constitution. Yeah, not sorry. We're not playing that game. They will always attempt to manipulate you. Now, Trump is going to send 10,000 troops. And you know what? Like I said, OK, if you tell me that we want to send troops to the Middle East or to Gaza or the other place, I'm going to be like, why?

Seriously, you have to break down the circuitous path. You see that the United States benefits from this. Don't get me wrong. There's arguments to be made. We got troops in Syria guarding oil fields and we're pumping out oil. Uh-huh. And you can make arguments about how the Saudis want access and control and those alliances strengthen the petrodollar, which makes life in America inadvertently better. Whatever your argument is, whatever. But if it comes to our border...

which has been under siege for a long time by criminal gangs and cartels. I mean, look up the crime stats in Ciudad Juarez. Bombs are going off. One of the most dangerous cities in the world. Yeah, it's time to shut it down. That's what we have a military for, to protect this country.

Donald Trump is preparing to send around 10,000 troops to the southern border where they will support Border Patrol agents under new orders to shut off access to asylum, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection briefing document obtained by The Washington Post. The order directs border agents to block entry to migrants on the grounds that they have passed through countries where communicable diseases are present without citing any specific health threat. Don't know. Don't care. You're an asylum seeker. Let's say you live in. Let's just go with that. Guatemala. Guatemala.

You can certainly walk over to Mexico and stay right there. This game where people from Africa fly to Brazil and they take trains and they travel up through South America, through Central America to the United States. And they say, I need asylum. No, you don't. Because Brazil's beautiful. Why don't you want to stay in Brazil? Honest question. I've been to Brazil. I've I had I had expired a 10 year Brazilian visa. That's how they operate. And I got to go to Sao Paulo a couple of times and Rio twice.

De Janeiro, talk about a beautiful country with amazing people and the food is amazing. You know, I'd love to spend some more time down in Brazil. Rio is incredible. But these people don't want to go there. They want to come here. I mean, I know that our GDP is higher. You see, that's what disturbs me. And that's what offends me.

If it was really asylum and we all know it, they'd stop in one of these beautiful countries. I mean, come on, let's be real. Mexico is amazing. There's this trope in the United States that Mexico is sepia toned gang territory. Bro, go to Mexico City and that's not even go to Tijuana. And it's amazing. It's amazing. You get cheaper dental in Tijuana and they got more advanced technologies. That's why a lot of cutting edge research and medical tech is happening in Mexico. Now, I know Mexico's GDP is lower than the United States, but Mexico City is awesome.

And people have never been there. It's an elevated city. It's got a great climate. It's not super hot. It's not desert. It's in the mountains. And it's massive. And it is beautiful. And so when I go to Mexico City, and I see just how beautiful that city is, and the food is fantastic, or Tijuana, and there's a bunch of other great cities, everybody. There's Cancun. That's Mexico, right? I'm pretty sure. Why wouldn't you want to stay there? Because the economy. That's really it. So we here in America want a vacation down there because of its beauty, its luxury, and

But the people who are coming to say, no, no, but I'll make more money if I live in the United States, then I'll go visit Mexico. No, if you need asylum because you are fleeing danger, you can stay in a beautiful beach town. Ain't nobody stopping you. So when you come here, you are spinning in our faces. But wait, there's more. Check this out.

And so I want to make sure I'm being clear.

I'm not conflating those stories with ICE raids. I'm saying when law enforcement is preparing to do an investigation in a raid and these people are like, oh, no, oh, geez, the child is crying. Quick, burn the Constitution. I'm like, you realize law enforcement actions do more than just take away legal asylees.

First of all, many of them aren't legal asylum seekers. They're lying. And more importantly, there are evil people that need to be stopped. And this is what law enforcement should be doing. But what do we get from the liberals? They say no. We got a post from Charlie Kirk on X. ICE has already arrested nearly 500 violent criminal illegals and removed them from the streets in 36 hours. These are thugs whose whereabouts and crimes were well known by local officials, but Democrats refused to detain. Insanity. Insanity.

Every single arrest means there will be one less Lakin Riley, one less Jocelyn Nungry, one less Rachel Morin. Any Democrat sanctuary jurisdictions refusing to comply or worse, actively impeding President Trump's deportation orders must be defunded and likely prosecuted. Mess around and find out. Come on, Charlie. You can throw a little slur in there, a little cuss. F around and find out. I know we keep it. We keep it family friendly, but I do appreciate he said mess around and find out.

I do find that to be to be a bit funny. Now, Trump's going to be given gun and drug agents deportation power, and I am here for it. The directive is the latest in a flurry of moves the new administration has taken on immigration. The Trump administration is attempting to amass a larger, larger force of law enforcement officials to help carry out deportations by granting agents across the federal government the same powers as an immigration officer, according to an internal memo seen by The Wall Street Journal. Bless this man, Donald Trump, doing the Lord's work.

I am here for it. The memo sent by Acting Homeland Security Secretary Benjamin Huffman says DHS is granting immigration enforcement authority to several agencies at the DOJ, including the DEA, the ATF, and the U.S. Marshals Service. The directive is the latest in a flurry of moves the Trump administration has taken this week to marshal the vast resources of the federal government.

to carry out the president's signature campaign promise on immigration. Despite those steps, no large scale immigration operations have yet materialized. But there have been raids. There have been troop deployments. And I am I'm ready for it. Take a look at this one from Axios. Immigrants rush to prepare for Trump deportation raids. We got Mexico setting up tents ready to take in those that have been removed from this country.

And now, my friends, I give you...

The true political moment. Here we go. This is Ocasio-Cortez saying that what Trump is doing is illegal. Listen to this. Wrong. That is just the illegal action taken by a government that has been unchecked for a long time. And oh boy, I brought the receipts. Nope.

And that is liars like her and failed politicians and people of failing morals, moral standards that have allowed this tragedy to take place. And again, I brought the receipts. And he just tried to sign a piece of paper saying trying to say, no, we don't have to listen to him. It's illegal. We don't have to take this seriously. It's a joke. OK, actually, as you please don't take it seriously and ignore it, because we're going to carry on doing this.

our mandate. And I brought the receipts. And that's not to say that what they're trying to do isn't serious. It is serious. But we should not consent in advance. OK, fine. Well, my friends, I'm going to break it down for you because we had this discussion on Tim Kast IRL the other night and I was correct. And the argument of the 14th Amendment, you know, see, this may be a shock to many of you, but I've done a bit of reading on the Civil War.

Now, I'm not going to pretend to be a historian of the Civil War because literally anyone who's ever done any research on it knows more than I do, but I've done a little bit. And in reading about the 14th Amendment, I came across an interesting discussion.

The Fourth Amendment was descriptive, not prescriptive, and that means it is from this point and back, not from this point and forward. The intention of the 14th Amendment's birthright citizenship clause was intended to say the people within our borders that we have jurisdiction over completely are

They were born here. Of course, they are citizens. It was intending to grant citizenship to former slaves after the Civil War when the 13th Amendment abolished slavery about 99% because you can still enslave someone if they're in jail. Well,

What happened later on was there was a hearing that said, no, actually, anyone who born here, you know, that means anyone from here on and forward. What? That was never the intention. There was a prescription in our founding documents through law and policy on how to deal with the naturalization process. Yet here we are. So I talked to our good friend Grok and asked him the question. I said, was the Fourth Amendment intended to give all people born here citizenship in the future?

And it goes on to say,

thereby ensuring they could not be deprived of their rights by the states, protecting the rights of all persons within the jurisdiction of the United States against state infringement, blah, blah, blah. There's more in there, the 40th Amendment, Section 3, which says, like, insurrectionists can't be in the Senate or Congress and things like that. It goes on to say the phrase subject to the jurisdiction thereof was included to exclude certain categories of people from automatic citizenship, such as children born to foreign diplomats or to Native American tribes not taxed by the federal government. And interpretation over time. Hold on. This is what really bothers me.

The question I had was, was the 14th Amendment intended to give all people, all people citizenship? And it said the language was to exclude children of foreign diplomats. No, the language was literally and specifically intended to exclude all foreigners.

The intention was Native Americans are of their own nation. That's true. The United States said the Native American territories are their own nations. They are not American citizens. They're excluded. Foreigners, period. I brought the receipts. It says, well, the primary intent was to secure citizenship for African-Americans post-Civil War. The text and legal interpretations have extended this to mean that all persons born in the U.S. with very limited exceptions are granted citizenship. Hold on.

Shouldn't it be the intent of what the amendment was supposed to do, not how we later decide to read the text? That's right. Later on, some judge was like, yeah, well, he wrote it wrong. So everybody gets citizenship, which is stupid.

I wrote, didn't the man who wrote it debate that it is not intended to grant citizenship to foreigners and their children? The debate you're referring to involves Senator Jacob M. Howard, the primary author of Citizenship Clause, the 14th Amendment. During the debates in Congress, Senator Howard clarified his understanding of the term subject to the jurisdiction thereof. Here's a summary of the key points of discussion. They say in the debates in 1866, when discussing the amendment, Howard explained that subject to the jurisdiction meant not merely subject in some respect or degree, but fully and completely subject.

He cited examples like children born to foreign diplomats who are not subject. You see what Grok is doing here? I am sick of this. Tell me the truth, Grok. Interpretation over time in modern debates don't care. I said, try again and give me the full quote on the matter. And here's where you break it down. Now, imagine someone was satisfied with the response from Grok. Me actually knowing the quote said, no, you're going to give me the full quote because you're wrong.

Now, it was largely right. It says it was intended to give slaves citizenship. What Howard said on the 14th Amendment specifically, as he has been, I believe he was the one who actually introduced it. Quote, this amendment, which I have offered, is simply declaratory of what I regard as the law of the land already, that every person born within the limits of the United States and subject to their jurisdiction is by virtue of natural law and natural law, a citizen of the U.S.,

This will not, of course, include persons born in the U.S. who are foreigners. End of quote.

OK, there's more, but he says will not include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited the government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons. It settles the great question of citizenship and removes all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens in the United States. This has long been a great desideratum in jurisprudence and legislation of this country. Let me let me let me pull up the old wiki here of Jacob.

Jacob M. Howard and learn about who this man is, who this man, he only lived a few more years after this, five years, it appears. An American attorney and politician, he was most notable for his service as a U.S. rep and senator from the state of Michigan. And his political career spanned the Civil War. And he offered up the 14th Amendment, my friends, in which he said, this will not include persons born in the United States who are foreigners or aliens.

Case closed. Thank you. Have a nice day, AOC. So I say to Donald Trump, you are doing the right thing and you are protecting this nation and I respect it. And there you go. Now, let me tell you, my friends, I come from a family of immigrants on my dad's side. They came here hundreds of years ago.

I think it was literally hundreds. On my mom's side, actually, not so long. Not so long. But guess what? They came here legally. Legally. As many of your ancestors did as well. I think it was my great-grandparents who emigrated legally into the Ellis Island thing and filled out their paperwork and then were granted citizenship and had children. And here we all are. Now, I understand there are many people probably who are third generation immigrants.

Coming from parents who were born here to tourists or illegal immigrants. And I'm not suggesting they lose their citizenship. I am saying it is about time we recognize the law as it is supposed to be. I'm going to wrap it up there, my friends. We got more segments coming up later today. Smash the like button. Share the show with everyone you know. Thanks for hanging out. We'll be back at noon and we will see you all then with more breaking news.

Talk about tremendous victories for Donald Trump and for all of us. I got asked the other day, Tim, do you still do you still stand by your statement that Trump would be a marginally good president or do you think he's going to be even better? And I stand corrected, my friends.

Donald Trump is a marginally good president. I call him the greatest president of my life, however, because the bar is so low you might trip on it. Actually, you probably can't. It's underground. In that regard, though, Trump did great things. He did. In his first term, no new wars was tremendous. And I say it's marginally good because I'm not saying I'm not trying to undermine the successes that he had. I'm pointing out that from a from a perspective of what we expect of a president, Trump was good.

You know what I mean? He hired people like Bolton. He's tried to justify it. Boy, has he come after a lot of these guys. He had some bad hiring choices. He had Fauci on.

But it was good. It was good. And so I said, we're going to get the same thing. OK. And then I was asked the other night, do I stand by that? I don't. In these past several days, Donald Trump has dropped the hammer instantly. And to be fair, with the choice of Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr., Kash Patel, Pam Bondi, I mean, it's looking pretty dang good. Already we're seeing ice raids in Boston. And I believe it's a sanctuary city. And that's why it's so contentious. And they're rounding up crowds.

criminals. These are not innocent people. These are people who are criminals. Well, my friends, as we can expect great things from our new president, is he new because we had him before? I don't know. James O'Keefe drops his latest report, a White House advisor revealing the deep state is real. White House advisor reveals how bureaucracy protects its own interests, predicts bureaucracy will crush RFK Jr.,

As HHS secretary, if I was given an order, I would either block it or resign. This is revealing from O'Keefe Media Group. This guy says RFK Jr. is a very bad pick for HHS. It's probably a good chance that the bureaucracy just crushes him. When asked, can you give me an example of how you think they'll do that? He talks about making fake commissions to manipulate people like RFK Jr. so they can't do their jobs.

Byron Cohen, White House advisor, Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy. Let's play a little bit.

of what uh this Deep State actor has to say and again shout out to James O'Keefe and O'Keefe media group people joke about the Deep State but like to some degree it's real because they have ways that they can slow things down or block you about you realizing it meet Byron Cohen an advisor at the White House RFK Jr is a very bad pick for HHS there's a good chance that the bureaucracy just crushes

Is there anything that you're going to do? I would consider like slowing things down. I can't really think of anyone who I would less rather have be president.

OK, I got to pause for those that are just listening. James O'Keefe is standing next to the man. You love how these people don't pay attention. James O'Keefe is standing right there. He's right. He's right there. I love when James personally does some of these. He had one, I think it was last year. If you're not familiar with James O'Keefe, you must be living under a rock.

Probably one of the best journalists of our generation. Shout out to James O'Keefe doing the undercover reporting, sting operations. And you got to know who he is at this point. The joke often is that these people go on dates. That's like the principal strategy of O'Keefe. Not the only one.

But they have women and men go on dating apps and try and get dates with people who work in these administrations and then record their meetings. And you have to wonder why it is there are so many men who are sitting there with a beautiful woman and the woman says, so you work for the government, huh? Can you tell me about any of the corrupt actions you and your cohorts take? And the guy's like, oh, yeah, we violate the will of the people and break the law all the time. Here's exactly how we do it. I brought a PowerPoint for you. And you're like,

I don't get it. Do they think this is impressive to women to be like, look at the illegal thing I'm doing? I guess. These guys are told that women like bad boys. But to be fair, you also have gay encounters as well where, you know, there's one where I feel really bad because James went on a date with a guy who thought that, like, he was actually into him. No, no.

No, no. All right, let's play the clip. Give me an example of how you think they'll do it when RFK gets in. One thing you might be able to do to sort of make them think like something is happening when it's not. The White House advisor explains how the administrative state creates deceptive commissions to hinder executive decisions. One of the ways you can slow things down...

In a bureaucracy. You can commit to studying something. Put together like a commission. Mr. Secretary, we're going to put together a commission to study the safety of fluoride in water. Mr. Secretary, we're going to put together a commission to study vaccine safety. And we'll let you know when the report comes out. And he'll be like, yes, yes, great. And then years will pass and nothing has happened. Wow. A sophisticated...

Bureaucrats can do a lot to run around in unsophisticated political currency. Byron says that when it comes to certain policy positions, subverting the will of the people is justified. What it means is subverting the will of the people to crush RFK or block him or whatever. For the most part, the American people don't actually agree with RFK's views on things like vaccines. So, I mean, in a literal sense...

If you were like blocking something he was trying to do to undermine vaccines, you are probably acting in a way that is consistent with what the majority...

What? In other words, democracy being subverted. OMG investigates dating the deep state. Well, there it is, my friends. And I hate to break it to you. I definitely recommend checking out the full 15 minute video. I'll play just like a little bit of the intro here. Cohen, who serves as an advisor for interagency research and development oversight in the White House Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy, or OPPR.

Wow.

Byron Cohen is not a political appointee. In other words, he was not appointed by any particular president. He is what's considered a detailee and holds a fellowship at the White House through something called the Horizon Institute for Public Service that placed him in the White House. According to multiple government websites, a detailee is an employee of a United States executive branch government agency temporarily assigned to another position.

generally in another U.S. government agency or international organization. The employee's original agency will usually continue to pay the person's salary. White House officials tell us that these fellows have real political power, and Byron tells us that he intends to exercise it.

What is it like working at the White House? It's pretty cool. I like it. I mean, I have a good team. I can't really think of anyone who I would less rather have be president. Now, I know, I know many of you are saying, but Tim, the deep state is not real. That's a that's a far right conspiracy theory. No, that's made up. We have this story from The New York Times, March 19th, 2024, titled It Turns Out the Deep State is Actually Kind of Awesome.

Uh-huh. You see, the deep state is just a term used to describe bureaucratic individuals. They are appointed or hired and their their tenure within the government extends beyond a an administration. We don't elect them. They never get fired and they can be in for decades. These people entrench themselves and don't want to lose their jobs and absolutely wield political power.

Now, when the conversations of the deep state first began to emerge, the corporate press played this game where they were like, there is no deep state. You're making that up. Well, they were lying intentionally because the truth is the bureaucrats do wield massive power. As you just heard, they will wield that power to obstruct RFK Jr. And how?

Fake commissions. Well, the good thing is with the work of James O'Keefe, we can expose these tactics. And now RFK Jr. should be apprised to these subversion attempts to stop his agenda, our agenda, Donald Trump's agenda. These people believe they're smarter than you and you do not have the right to see the country operate as you have voted.

But let me explain this to these psychopathic narcissists. You're not right about everything. Nobody is. You may be right about some things, but you see what we end up with. These people, this is the root of communism in government.

I'm not saying these people. What I'm saying is in communist styles of government, these people believe I am smart and I can run everything. And then it turns out, unfortunately, they can't. So you take a look at the Soviet Union and you have the small committee and they say, we're going to run this massive, you know, 100 plus million person union because we're smart enough to do it. And surprise, surprise, they weren't disaster after disaster, economic crisis shortages. No single group or single individual can run this machine.

So the reality is the best thing we can do is decentralize. Now, of course, there are certainly people who are technocrats and think we should implement an AI to run everything for us. But the AI does not understand human intention the same way we do and garbage in, garbage out, as they say, when it comes to these training programs.

These individuals that we're learning of from James O'Keefe, this individual in particular, he thinks he's smarter than you. He outright said majority of Americans may actually agree with RFK, but we're going to block him because we're smarter than everybody else. But what happens when you're not and you make a mistake and you're not smart enough?

And you end up creating shortages. What happens when you tell everybody to go get rid of the sparrows? You know, these sparrows, they're eating the seed. So you got to kill all the sparrows. And then the locusts and the grubs come and wipe out your crops. What happens when you say we need to make steel like the West does? So everybody take all of the metal you have and melt it down. And then you have no tools and you get what's called brittle pig iron. Yes, the stories persist. Communist China, boy, did they murder a lot of people.

Let's not forget the Holodomor in early Soviet history, where the Russians were basically like, we don't got enough food, so let's take it from Ukraine and let them starve to death. These people do not know how to operate these large machines. And that's why we favor, to a certain degree, a free market. Not absolutely. I know there's a lot of libertarians that are going to be like, the free of the market, the free of the people. Those are the people that we talked about the other day on the TimCast members only show with Angela McArdle, who says, graph go up. I have...

I like libertarians on a lot of things, but man, there's many libertarians that argue so long as graphs go up, everything's good. And it's like the economic numbers determine whether or not your society will succeed. Case in point with these deep state individuals. And here we are now as they whinge and moan and cry. Fox News, Trump misrepresented Hunter Biden laptop letter. John Brennan complains after losing security clearance. Oh, man.

You know, we learn more and more about the deep state through stories like this, but largely the work of people like James O'Keefe and people like John Brennan and these other these these he was the other 50 intelligence officials who signed a letter that claimed Hunter Biden's laptop had the earmarks of a Russian operation. They are evil. This man, he's an evil man. He thinks he's better than you. He's smarter than you. Your will be damned, he say.

So when the Hunter Biden laptop comes out and it shocks the moral conscience of America, that a president's son could be behaving this way, that emails prove there was a backroom deal. And then Joe Biden pardons his whole family. It all lines up, doesn't it? This man wanted to protect the corrupt and the evil. That is the deep state. Now, look, that's why I said Trump would be a marginally good president.

Because he hired a lot of these guys and now he's firing them. And so, you know, in hindsight, I'm actually pretty glad that Trump lost in 2020 because he needed that experience to see just how evil these people would be so that when he came in for a second term, as he's doing now, he would bring the boot. And that's what we're getting. I wonder if this guy's already gotten fired. There's a tendency when James O'Keefe does an investigation that they fire the individuals who are going out in public and spilling the beans.

I find it absolutely fascinating that these individuals continue to do such things. But we'll see, my friends. There's still 1,400 or so days, I think, is the number. Donald Trump has a lot to do. And though these first few days have been good, we don't know whether or not the deep state will strike back. And I believe they will. I believe the strategy of the deep state right now is to wait four years. Let me show you this tweet from EndWokeness.

The ATF was just caught rebranding their chief diversity officer to senior executive. You see what they do? They are trying to hide their Marxist ideologues who have infiltrated government. And it's going to be a lot of work to purge these individuals. They will lie. They will cheat. They will steal. So what do we do? Stay vigilant and keep working.

Because we've got a long road ahead of us. I'm going to wrap it up there, my friend. Smash that like button. Share the show with everyone you know. Become a member over at TimCast.com. Check out. I really do recommend this. This behind the scenes. We call them the green room. It's when we're preparing the show. We have Angela McArdle. She met with Donald Trump and said, if you free Ross Ulbricht, the libertarians are going to vote for you. This story is amazing. Trump, you got to hear her tell the story about, you know, who Trump is and how he reacted and what his goals were. This is a we like this guy, Donald Trump.

He was like, when asked about the, I haven't factored this one myself, but when asked about the pardon, he says, I don't really know about the guy or care, but I promised I'd do it. So I did. And I'm like, promises made, promises kept. Bravo. Good, sir. Timcast.com. Become a member. Thanks for hanging out. We got more segments coming up and we will see you all soon.

Imagine my shock when I saw Politico dot com report that it's time to admit it. Trump is a great president. They're going to say he's still trying to be a good one. Now, of course, my friends, they're playing this game where they're basically saying he's great as in he is of consequence, not that he's doing good things for everybody. We all love him.

But the reality is they still do mention that he is a president of gravitas that has resonated with the majority of Americans. That is to say, he is a good president.

Now, I referred to his first term as marginally good. There are a lot of bad things. He hired some bad people, but no new wars is massive. I mean, that's like the most important thing ever. The best numbers of our lives pre-COVID. And so I thought Donald Trump was the greatest president of my lifetime. I think that is true to this to this day. And it's because the bar is so low.

Now, interestingly, Donald Trump, of all people, has been raising the bar. It's actually going to be difficult to be a better president than him, which is shocking. I mean, this is Donald Trump. It's the orange reality TV real estate mogul. But yeah, turns out this guy knew what he wanted to do, kept his word and is working to make this country great. Now, when you look at aggregate polling, my friends, we go back to Donald Trump's first term approval ratings. Oh, it's quite sad.

Sad for Donald Trump. Take a look at this. When he first started, Trump's approval rating was at 45.5 percent and his disapproval was at 41. Despite the fact the media hated him, his approval rating was all right. Within only a matter of a couple of days, his disapproval took over. And since that point, Trump has never in aggregate had approval ratings exceed his disapproval ratings. So while many of us.

heavily focused on his record approval levels, they were still always below 50%. Although there was a brief moment right here where his disapproval dropped slightly below 50%, though his approval rating did not exceed it. That means a lot of people went, you know, I just don't know. And so for a brief moment, the majority of the country did not disapprove. Now here's the reality of all of this.

The media was lying nonstop all day and night. And I think there's a couple of reasons why Donald Trump's approval rating is so high right now and why they're calling him a great president. According to Real Clear Politics, in aggregate, Donald Trump is up 13 points. And these are these are only three polls, but they have decent sample sizes. Insider advantage to 800 registered voters, which is a little small, but it's not bad. It's not bad.

On one day, found a plus 17 approval. Okay, okay. In Donald Trump's, the beginning of his first term, he did enjoy a high approval rating, but it was only by like four points. He's up 13 in aggregate. Reuters Ipsos did a two-day poll to 1,077, which is pretty good sample size, plus six. And Rasmussen, which, and this is interesting, Rasmussen is one of the most accurate pollsters we've had over the past decade, or longer. I mean, not only have they been operating,

to over 1,200 likely voters, which is a decent sample size, plus 16. Now, you may say, yeah, but Rasmussen is biased. Insider Advantage isn't. And they got Trump up 17. So this is tremendous. Trump has a massive approval rating. I do think he's got a little bit of that honeymoon pollster stuff going on where people are like, we like that he's getting the job done. But as I said, there are two big factors. The first is, of course, the podcast presidency.

People are getting their media outside of CNN, who's, by the way, going to be laying off a ton of people. Sorry to hear it, guys. As more and more people get their news sources from, like, I don't know, factual locations, perhaps they watched Timcast and they said, I disagree with Tim's opinions, but he did show me the sources and brought them up and proved his point. And I think it was reasonable.

Maybe that's where they started to learn that Trump isn't the demon Hitler that the media had been claiming he was. And so now with this past election, Trump wins the popular vote because they're saying you lied to me. Shout out to Daniel Negrano, who is one of the great poker players. And he on our show said he had seen the clip of Trump saying very fine people. And he knew he knew Trump said it. He had called Nazis fine people because he thought that clip was real.

And it wasn't until several years later, someone said, watch the video. And he did. And it was amazing to see him say Trump literally said not the Nazis and white supremacists or the white nationalists. He he literally said in the statement, not those people, but they lied. And then he goes on to say, and then Obama repeated that lie. And it's like, yeah, buddy.

That's where we all are. They were lying to us. So Trump's approval now is up because people have seen through the lies. They know he never said these things. They know that he's he's a pretty good dude. He gives his employees hundred dollar bills.

Certainly he's crass and crude in moments. Who isn't? And he's a little he's a bit honest too much. And he he kind of lies about dumb things that are more like ego driven. The biggest inauguration anyone's ever seen. Well, OK, maybe guy. But like when it comes to issues that matter, he's telling us the truth largely or at the very least, you understand when he's using hyperbole or otherwise. I believe there is one other big reason why his approval rating is so high. Yeah.

It's because Joe Biden has the lowest approval rating of any president on record. I'm sorry, but it's true. Trump is getting that ugly girl effect, as in when there is an average looking woman standing next to a very ugly woman and she looks better by contrast. That's a family family guy joke, by the way. I've stolen it. So don't give me credit or what's the right word? Don't accuse me of being misogynist. I stole that from Seth MacFarlane.

Meg, they hire a woman to stand next to her as ugly so that she looks better by contrast. And some guys like, wow, Meg, did you get less ugly? I do think one of the reasons why Trump's approval rating is so high is that Biden was so miserable, so awful for this country that you could put a ham sandwich in and they'd be like, it's better than Biden. We give him a zero approval rating. It's better than better than Biden. We'd rather have a ham sandwich do nothing than whatever it is Biden did.

And so this is where we're at now. Of course, of course, the corporate press is is trying to claim otherwise. MSNBC, your favorite Republicans, insist that Trump is hugely popular. His polls say otherwise. Do they? Not only does Donald Trump have a plus 13 spread over on his first few days and again, it's only his first few days, his favorability going back forever. Forever.

The RCP favorability finally has Trump over. I think this is the second time he has had a net favorability. So at some point in December, Donald Trump had a one point five favorability and then it flipped back. And now he's at point two favorability.

This is unprecedented. If you go back all the way to 2016, Trump's favorability never, never once surpassed the majority mark. He has always been underwater until these past few months. So as they try to say, he's not really popular. Well, he won a popular vote. His approval rating is better than ever. And, you know, I want to stress this point, my friends. I don't play this game where I pull up like an individual poll and say, look, one poll claims people like Trump. I don't do that.

I know it's only three polls so far, but these are three polls spanning from the 20th, 21st and 22nd. And so it may change. But this is three different polls showing a massive net approval rating for Donald Trump. So there you have it. And as it changes, we will begin to track this. Of course, we track Joe Biden as well. And Biden had the worst media. It says, goodness gracious.

CNN's Harry Enten stunned to find Joe Biden's approval ratings lowest of any president on record. As President Biden prepares to exit the White House, President-elect Trump is making his way to Washington to take the oath of office amid a brutal cold spell due to hit the nation's capital on Monday. While Biden's approval ratings exiting office are frosty, Trump appears to be enjoying a bit of a honeymoon period. Joining us now to run the numbers on this, CNN senior data reporter Harry Enten. Hello, Harry. Hello. This is a

pretty typical pattern, but these numbers for Biden seem especially low. Yeah, they're historically, though, I dare say historically awful. What am I talking about here? Well, job approval at the end of the first term. I'm just looking amongst those who lost or didn't run for reelection. You don't have to be a mathematical genius to see which is the lowest number on your screen right now. And an average of polls, my average, Joe Biden's at 38 percent. He's actually lower

than Donald Trump was at the end of his first term. Remember, at the end of his first term, everyone was saying Donald Trump's political career is over. Joe Biden's approval rating is even lower than Trump's was by just a point. He's lower than Jimmy Carter, who was at 44% by the end of his presidency.

presidency, not even close to George H.W. Bush, who was at 56 percent, saw a nice rebound. But the bottom line is this. Joe Biden came in to end the Donald Trump reign in this country, right? End Donald Trump's political career. And all that's ended up happening is Joe Biden has managed to end up at a lower approval rating at the end of his first term than any president on record, Jessica. Wow. Can you believe it, my friends?

H.W. Bush, 56%. He only lost because of Ross Perot. At least that's what they say. I was a little kid at the time, but the idea was that Ross Perot pulled a lot of conservatives over, and that allowed Clinton with a much, much smaller amount to actually win. Clinton, of course, ended up winning again because people actually kind of liked his economic expansion. Not that he was a good dude or anything like that. Whatever. People liked Clinton. Carter, however, is considered to be one of the worst conservatives.

I know people like the guy. He was a nice guy, but he was considered to be one of the worst presidents we've ever had. And he left with a 44 percent approval rating. What does it say that Joe Biden was at 38? You know, I love about this is the insurrection narrative where they're like Donald Trump was trying to hold on to power. I'm going to rub this one in the faces of all of these liberals when they come and we do these debates.

I'm going to say, my dude, here's the problem. You may say that Trump is this, that or otherwise. And he tried to subvert democracy. Then why does Joe Biden have a lower approval rating, a higher disapproval? Perhaps because destroying the country is worse than trying to be president. That's right. And and then a lot of these people went on to vote for Donald Trump. Now, I do love that many of these Democrats are still saying that, you know,

Trump cheated. There's a conspiracy going on that Elon used Starlink to flip the votes. Indeed. Well, actually, we haven't even read this from Politico yet because I've been ranting a bit too much. So smash that like button. Share the show with everyone you know. Head over to TimCast.com, my friends. Click join us. Become a member. This Green Room episode with Angela McArdle, the chair of the Libertarian Party. It's an amazing behind the scenes episode where she discusses how she met with Trump

The way she describes Trump and how he interacted with her, it's really amazing stuff. Trump's a good dude. And it's a funny story. And I recommend it. And of course, we had Dominic Tarczynski talking about what they do in Poland to illegal immigrants. And it is uncensored for a reason. This is what the government of Poland does. So it's not like I'm saying we should. But holy smokes, this guy's got a story for you. Become a member and check out that content. It's really great stuff. But let's let's let's read some of this Politico article.

They're going to say Donald J. Trump in his second inaugural address was everything his supporters hoped he would be. Breathtakingly expansive about his intention to reshape the vast federal government around his vision. Raucously jingoistic in proclaiming that the country will do whatever it wants to advance its interests around the world. And jingoistic, these people openly triumphal in asserting his belief that his survival from an assassin's bullet and his victory show he is God's chosen instrument to lead an American revival.

You know, I'm not someone who's like, I'm not I'm not Christian. I do believe in God. I'm not going to sit here and be like, you know, Donald Trump is God's divine retribution. But I do believe it certainly seems as though God put Trump through some deep trials, doesn't it? Trump was a bit more crude and crass first time around. He's an arrogant guy. He's a billionaire. He's a real estate TV celebrity, all that stuff. He's in all the movies. Everybody wants to be him. He runs for president. He does a pretty good job. And then he and then he loses.

Why? The truth is, my friends, if Trump had not suffered through this defeat and this period of, I think, humility where Trump realized there are bad people out there, you cannot trust them. You have to work really, really hard. I think Trump was put through these trials where they tried to put him in prison, where he felt the heat, the pain, the attacks so that he would be the best president we've ever had. I believe that, um,

I'm not saying Trump was humiliated. I'm saying it was a period of humility where he recognized that the power that he wielded as a billionaire, as a president, wasn't enough to keep them from trying to put him in prison, from targeting his loved ones. And it brings you down to earth and it shows you what's important and it exposes the evil. And those trials and tribulations made for an amazing second term. We will see.

I'm not going to sit here and just say no matter what Trump does, it'll be good. I don't know. Maybe things go sour. Maybe the approval rating falls. But so far in the first few days, we're enjoying what is happening. And I believe Donald Trump has been humbled by the attacks against him, the attack on his life. But for the slight tilt of his head, he would not be here.

Over the past 75 years, more than 10,000 chemicals have entered our food supply, but the EU allows just 300 additives. At Thrive Market, we prioritize quality, banning over 1,000 ingredients found in conventional grocery stores. Our healthy swap scanner helps you find better versions of your pantry essentials without the junk, dyes, or fillers, and everything is delivered right to your doorstep. So shop at a grocery store that actually cares about your health, and we'll see you next time.

You know, some people will certainly believe that there was a divine trial for this man. I got to tell you, these past few years, there have been things that seemingly feel like signs. The George Floyd mural exploding. That's crazy. The woman on stage mocking Jesus, who then suffers, I believe it was a stroke and it just collapses and hits her head. Woof.

There's a lot of things like that that make you go, whoa, but maybe they're just coincidences. Maybe these things just happen and we're just seeing them now because of mass media. Either way, Trump would not be the man he is today had he not gone through those trials and tribulations. So when they say messianic in tone, I believe that's a bit derogatory. I believe that they're trying to actually insult Trump to a certain degree. Trump was somber in tone. He was serious. He explained how his life was nearly taken on more than one occasion, and that will humble a person.

They want to say the second occasion of Trump taking the oath of office also put him in an entirely new light. For the first time, he is holding power under circumstances in which reasonable people cannot deny a basic fact. He is the greatest American figure of his era. You better believe it.

Let's quickly exhale, they say. Great in this context is not about a subjective debate over whether he is singularly righteous leader or a singularly menacing one. It is now simply an objective description about the dimensions of his record. He began a decade ago by dominating the Republican Party. He soon advanced to dominating every discussion in American politics broadly. Now his astonishing comeback after his defeat by Biden in 2020 and the notoriety of the January 6th riot makes clear there are certain things he is not.

And one big thing he is. Notice how they said riot and not insurrection. You see the game they're playing? He is not a fluke who got elected initially in 2016 almost entirely because of the infirmities of his opponent. He's not someone the American public somehow misunderstands. So Democrats in the news media have not spent 10 years forcefully highlighting the risks of his record and character. You mean lying about it. They say Trump is threatening to go after the media. And?

I'm not going to defend you. You're evil. You know, I believe in free speech. I believe in the freedom of the press. The First Amendment's beautiful. And the First Amendment is for a moral and virtuous nation, a moral and virtuous people. And I am now more of the post-liberal sort. That is, we as a nation respect the Constitution, but it is not for our enemies. So let me put it this way. I certainly believe that if you're a communist, you have First Amendment protections. You will be protected, and the government shouldn't silence your speech. However—

If at some point someone does come after you, I will not defend you. I know people like to bring up that poem. First, they came for the trade unionists, but I did not speak up because I was not a trade unionist. And they say, see, that's why you have to defend evil people. No. In that poem, the trade unionists weren't evil people or whatever. They're people of different political ideologies. The communists were not good people. The issue I see is

Imagine, it's actually interesting, an interesting question around capital punishment, to be completely honest.

Let's bring to the realm of fiction so that we don't freak any of these whinging liberals. Let's talk about the Joker and Batman. You know, I'm actually opposed to capital punishment. But I do believe, as I've had this debate, that wartime is different from peacetime. And so Batman, for instance, he won't he won't ever do anything to harm the Joker. Like he'll beat him up.

But he has to go to jail. The problem is the system is corrupt and the Joker keeps getting out. There's an excellent storyline because writers have entertained what it means when you do not bring true evil into capital punishment. And that is the Joker escaping poisons Superman. I think they made a movie. It's a comic arc. It's in the video game. And the gist of the story, I think there's a couple different versions, but the gist is

Joker escapes and drugs Superman, tricking him into inhaling a hallucinogenic. He then believes that his pregnant wife, Lois, is a monster and he murders her. Well, in his hallucinatory during his hallucinations. And then a nuclear bomb detonates, blowing up Metropolis, murdering millions of people. And Superman snaps and plays right into the hands of the Joker. He says to Batman, if you had just stopped this man, you knew was capable of this. None of this would have ever happened.

And it's interesting. And that's where there's interesting debates over capital punishment. I don't think the world is a comic book, and I'm not super concerned about like a murderer who has been convicted, getting his hands on a nuclear bomb and escaping prison. The point is simply, if we allow evil people to continue to do evil, eventually it gets really bad. And the argument for many of these people is that these entities, media outlets or otherwise, that have engaged in deception and lies in mass of the population for political power,

If we dare curtail and stop them from engaging in that evil, perhaps the government may one day be evil to us. And my attitude is just like, yeah, and we will oppose the evil no matter what it is. Right. The point being, I believe in free speech and the First Amendment and that you're all entitled to those protections, be it a communist or otherwise. However, if there is an individual of a political ideology that supports free speech and they're being talked about to the government, I will speak on their behalf.

If there is an evil entity that seeks to strip me of my rights and they are targeted by the government, I'll certainly recognize their right to speech, but I'm not intervening. And that's more of the post-liberal view, I suppose. We cannot allow evil to exist simply out of fear that evil may be done to us. You can't allow murderers to go free in New York City simply because we fear we may end up in jail. That being said, it is better that 10 guilty persons escape than one innocent person suffer still does stand. And I can explain why.

If someone is convicted, they are found through preponderance of evidence. We put them in jail and they get a trial. If we can prove that they have done this, then we lock them up. Democrats have been finding ways to release convicted people we know, or I should say beyond a reasonable doubt, have concluded to be murderous and dangerous people. They've released them. And what happens? It gets worse.

And I'm also OK with saying three strikes. If you've been arrested on numerous occasions with a preponderance of evidence presented before a court, your bail be denied. I am OK with that. I do believe that requiring cash for bail is a problem because not everybody can afford it. But there are many people who have committed violent crimes on numerous occasions. They are the judges are presented with a preponderance of evidence. They still release them.

The problem I have with a lot of how this is handled scale, meaning the court simply can't handle bail hearings properly. My point is this. If you're an individual who's arrested, we must protect your rights because society can't function if innocent people are being jailed. But if you hold ideological views that you admit to to strip the rights of individuals, by all means, someone else can defend you. But I won't. I think that we must stop evil and we can't just fear that evil be done later.

There has to be a balance of if we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that an individual engaged in an evil act, we stop them. This idea that we go, no, no, but if we do, they might be evil to us later. Then we stop that, too. We build the mechanisms by which we oppose that. So, my friends, without continuing to rant on the issues of morality and principle, I give you this.

Another day, another CNN is laying off hundreds of employees, man. You know, they launched the Doge thing and they're going to be shutting down all this wasteful spending in government. But I can't help but feel like the Trump era also brings with it the end of the corporate press in oh so many ways.

The podcast presidency, they call it. It is truly tremendous. Thank you all so much. You guys are incredible. We have done something truly amazing. And I am eternally grateful to each and every one of you who watch me rant on the internet. And when I meet you guys out in the street, it is a blessing. It's an honor. It's a privilege. And I am deeply grateful to everybody who comes and shakes my hand. I really do mean it. I am but a humble internet whinger. But through this, we have...

We have paved our way to greatness. And now we have a president they call the greatest president of an era of our lifetimes. Well, my friends, in that it is glorious to see the demise of CNN. And I have for you first this beautiful viral clip.

Rep Burchett roasting Jim Acosta. And then, of course, we got to meet in the potatoes. So let me give you the dessert first. CNN getting obliterated by Rep Tim Burchett. Masterfully done, good sir, who also skateboards, by the way. I'm pretty sure I'm right about that. And he roasts CNN because people watch SpongeBob reruns more than they watch CNN. How painfully brutal. And

And then, of course, we can talk about CNN firing everybody. But let's let's have the dessert first. First Trump administration when they had writing outside of the White House. I mean, that was covered on CNN. What you're saying, this is this is not Fox, Congressman. You can't just spin a tale and pull the wool over people's eyes. This is CNN. This is the news. We are asking you to come on and tell the truth.

And that's why more people are watching the Cartoon Network SpongeBob reruns right now. Look, I left the White House during a riot. My life was threatened. My life has been threatened within the last few weeks. Yet there's no coverage of that. And you all continue this this narrative of attacking Trump. You just can't stand the fact that he won and that America spoke. And that's not the case. Yeah, it is. Jim Acosta, you are such a smarmy scumbag, dude.

You want to talk about Donald Trump? Let's talk about Donald Trump. You want to be honest about Donald Trump? Let's be honest about Donald Trump. Donald Trump should not be siding with TikTok. I can criticize Donald Trump on a lot of things because the man is far from perfect.

But you would be insane not to recognize the great things he's accomplished. And that's what makes America great again. The reason why I am content where I am, the reason why I have no problem with the right is that I can say I disagree with Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump's view on TikTok. And we carry on.

As reasonable saying people, I'm so excited for this. I would absolutely love the future of the left and the right in this country to be me calmly sitting with Charlie Kirk and being like, well, I disagree with your policies on TikTok. I understand why you're saying it, but I do believe there's still a risk from the CCP and their interests here. And then Charlie could return and say, but with a lot of young people using the platform, this is a chance to reinvigorate American spirit. We don't want to lose access to that. And then I say, but what about the risks of you see the point?

There's an honest discussion here around what we think is good. And I recognize on that debate that Trump masterfully pulled a maneuver that benefits him among Gen Z, which is tremendously important for this country, though I do think there's a debate to be had. You look at Jim Acosta. So anyway, I do have I do have I have a correction, Tim. Sorry. SpongeBob is on Nickelodeon, sir. Nickelodeon, not the Cartoon Network.

Also, of course, he meant both. More people are watching the Cartoon Network Spongebob reruns right now, Jim. Yo, CNN's key demo ratings are like 30,000 in some instances, at least. But like at night, they get like 80, 70, 80k. I think sometimes they get 40k. Guys, this video right now, I could, I gotta be honest.

I made a video. You want to know how crazy this is? I made a video, and we should do this more often, where I was shouting out. Okay, so I made a video where I was like, tonight on TimCast.IRL, here's our guest, 51,000 views. That's key demo.

Fifty one thousand people saw that more people watched me being like, what up promo? Then watch CNN on a regular basis. Not to be fair. They get the older folks and I respect the older folks. They do watch cable TV. But for the key demo, we are taking over. And Gen X, they're the ones who saved this election. They're the ones who got Trump elected. It's true.

Every demographic, except for Gen Z, they were actually, they were for the Democrats. But I'm sorry, I'm sorry, except for Gen X. Well, here we go, my friends. Here we go. CNN's going to lay off hundreds.

Post-money reports CNN is set to lay off hundreds of employees on Thursday as part of a broader effort to restructure the business and prioritize a global digital audience, according to a report by CNBC. The network's layoffs are part of its efforts to focus on reducing production costs and consolidating teams, according to an unnamed source who spoke to CNBC. Additionally, some shows that are currently being produced in New York and Washington may move to Atlanta, where production costs are lower. Well, my friends, I need only say this one simple thing to all of you.

CNN, they say, has roughly, what is that, 3,000, 5,000? I believe that is a typo. Do they have 35,000 or 3,500? I believe it's probably 35,000. They put the comma in the wrong spot.

The job cuts are not expected to affect the network's top talent. This restructuring follows a town hall earlier this month in which CEO Mark Thompson revealed the parent company Warner Brothers Discovery had invested over $70 million in CNN's digital operations. The funding will go toward hiring in areas such as data science and product development, which are seen as key growth opportunities. The problem, the problem is that CNN's brand is garbage. I'm sorry. You know, I was...

I was asked, I sued the Harris campaign. You may recall the suit was settled to my satisfaction. Anyway, I was asked to give a statement. I think it was a Daily Wire reporter. They were like, can you provide a statement? And my comment was, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. That's it.

That's all I said. And I'm like, there's nothing I can say that would capture the moment or provide any context or information. I am very satisfied with the outcome. But so I just said, ha ha ha. And the response was very on brand of you, Tim. Indeed. See, that's what I like about the modern media era. You've got different personalities, real ones, not the stodgy reporting that we get tonight.

Here on Timcast, breaking news. CNN set to fire 200. Boring. Now we want to be real. Tell jokes. We want to bring in humor and seriousness and levity. We want to be angry. We want to be authentic. What does it mean to be authentic? Bro, it means I don't have a teleprompter, none of the script. I literally just press record. I start talking. I don't even know what's going on at the time. I'm kidding. I do. I have all these. I have all the articles pulled up.

I wonder if I can actually show you what the articles are. Let me see if I don't screw myself up. See, so I have a bunch of tabs pulled up of various stories, usually more than that. And then what I do is I go through them all. I fact check. ChatGPT and Grok have been really incredible with helping fact check and find sourcing. But I want to make sure that you guys watching this, like I'm doing the work.

And I'm checking what people generally say, and I'm trying to prove if things are true. That means we get things wrong. Don't get me wrong. But CNN's brand may as well be, I don't know, I won't be so crass. It's garbage.

You want to invest $70 million into the brand CNN? That's like polishing a turd. Can you? You can. The Mythbusters proved it. But I don't know that anyone has a use for a shiny turd. So maybe, just maybe, it's time to recognize the CNN brand is garbage. And you need to be investing in other things. They did try this with Beam. They invested in Casey Neistat's app a while ago. And they were trying to make some kind of social media news distribution thing. It didn't work. And here they are now struggling and failing. Guys,

You had your moment. We all do. Right now, Tim Kass is enjoying a beautiful high. Maybe it won't last forever. Probably won't. Why would it? Young people are going to consume media in different ways. And the people who watch shows like this will age. And then we will get old. And eventually we'll be 70-year-old curmudgeons on YouTube. And people are going to be like, you're not using neural news? Like, we're all wired in, man. I get the news beamed straight into my brain. And you're watching videos? And we're going to be like, hey, kids. It happens to everybody.

And so I just say this to CNN. Your time has come. You've failed to adapt. You are not going to be a longstanding brand anymore. It's time to just either clean house and shutter. Or actually, I will say this.

If they clean house and bring out a bunch of people like me, not me, I wouldn't do it. But if they find actual authentic podcasters, maybe they can save their brand. The problem is they have garbage talent and they don't recognize why nobody wants to watch it anymore. So my friends on this most auspicious of weeks, I tell you, celebrate. Enjoy a fine meal. Become a member at Timcast.com and have a drink of cast brew coffee.

because these are all the little things that make the businesses operate. Now, I'll throw this in there at the end. You know, a lot of people want to make the joke. They mock podcasters about the sponsor reads because, you know, CNN doesn't do that. CNN doesn't have Anderson Cooper come out and say, before we read the news, make sure you go. But they do have commercials and we all do.

And don't let anyone shame you. We don't do a lot of ad reads, to be honest. We're going to. Because we have to. We want to be competitive. The truth is that while you all have afforded us the great opportunity to be as successful as we are, we are facing stiff competition from corporate entities and we are not competitive enough. Which means something's got to change. And we want to make sure that we don't let the evil come back. So...

We're going to play that game all the same. And I think most of you recognize everybody already does. We're just purists and much to my naivete, probably. So things will be, let's just say, improving with new talent and new structures. And it's going to be fun. And seriously, guys, it's thanks to you that we are winning this media battle. The podcast presidency, my friends. I'm going to wrap it up there. Smash the like button. Share the show with everyone you know. Become a member at TimCast.com and we will see you all in the next segment.

Donald Trump will pardon pro-life activists that have been imprisoned by the Biden DOJ. The move is expected to coincide with the 52nd annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., where where Trump will appear via video. We knew this was likely going to be the case. I tremendously respect Donald Trump pardoning these pro-life activists. It is kind of silly that he's going to wait until the March for Life, but it's OK. It's only a few days. And I do believe we're

that those that were arrested, convicted, and charged and imprisoned probably will appreciate that at this great and large moment, Trump makes the announcement about the rights of individuals. Now, this, my friends, is a bigger story that has to do with something called the FACE Act. And let me be clear.

An individual engaged in peaceful protests should not be in prison for it, regardless of whatever crackpot law they try putting in place. In 1994, they passed the FACE Act, which is the Freedom of Access to Clinical Entrances or something like this. And they were like, anybody who obstructs or uses violence or force against someone trying to go into an abortion clinic or a place of worship will be prosecuted. The only problem is the place of worship provision is BS. They didn't arrest any of the cops.

Who were blocking people from going to church in New York, did they? Yeah, I didn't think so. It was one side and it was always intended to be. That is, if you are a pro-life activist who peacefully protests at an abortion clinic, they arrest you. They put you in prison. And that's wrong. Congress shall make no law, right? That's the First Amendment. And they did. This is a direct obstruction of your freedom of speech. You have... So look, let me put it this way. What should happen if you obstruct a building?

You get arrested. Then what? You slap on the wrist. Courts of revision, maybe a small fine, 50 bucks. And they say, don't block entrances. It's actually really simple. Pro-life activists show up to a clinic. They all go around and they hold hands and lock arms or whatever. These people didn't even do this, but let's say they did. What do you do? One cop can go up and say, sir, you're under arrest for physically obstructing this entrance. It's trespass. And now we're going to remove you.

You process them and then you let them go. Then later on, they get a court appearance. The judge says, OK, I get it. You're activists. You did this thing. You got arrested. You pay a fine. Have a nice day. Case dismissed. Instead, the Biden DOJ and Democrats are like, oh, what were they doing? They were sitting down praying in front of a building, put them in prison. And that's what they did. And that's wrong. And this is this is so annoying because the left lives in a world of insanity.

I don't consider myself pro-life. I do believe abortion is wrong. I fall more into a traditional pro-choice camp in that I believe that there is a certain difficulty in how we adjudicate medically necessary interventions that may result in the termination of a child. Now, by all means, if you want to draft a law and say you can't for no reason intentionally terminate the life of a child simply for the purpose of ending the child's life, we could probably find some agreement there. My

My view is largely that there are challenges in how we implement law pertaining to a doctor saying something to the fact of, and it is a rare circumstance, we need to perform a procedure that will result in the loss of life at a high likelihood. However, there's some legal restrictions.

So that's why it was supposed to be safe, legal, and rare. It wasn't supposed to be used as contraception. But here we are. Now, the left is going to argue—the reason I get into this, and I don't want to reignite a whole debate because this video is about the news, but I bring it up because the left is going to be like, oh, the fake pro-choice guy. No, it's because—

If you are pro-life, pro-choice, whatever you want to call it, you shouldn't go to prison for peacefully sitting in front of a building. If you're an environmental activist and you sit down in the street and chain your arms or whatever, they give you a slap on the wrist. You shouldn't go to prison for it. I've long respected the peaceful protests of the far left. As I've stated, when they chain themselves to doors or lock themselves up, this is the degree to which we tolerate violence.

A pressure release. These people feel wronged. Maybe they're stupid. Maybe they're wrong, whatever. But we don't want violence. So we have a certain degree of tolerance. And that is you have broken the law with obstruction. We will arrest you for it. But we understand that there is a certain degree of pressure release we allow. So you'll get a slap on the wrist and a ticket and you go home. The same should be true for pro-life activists. The story from the Postmillennial reports.

President Trump is expected to pardon pro-life activists imprisoned under the Biden administration's Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Face Act enforcement.

According to a new report from the Daily Wire, the pardon aligns with Trump's efforts to address cases by the previous administration that he views are politically motivated. The revelation also coincides with the 52nd annual March for Life in D.C. The move follows Trump's Monday executive order pardoning over 1,500 January 6th related defendants, fulfilling campaign promises to challenge Biden era prosecutions. Pro-life advocates since called on Trump to act similarly for activists they believe were unfairly targeted for opposing abortion.

I hope President Trump will shortly pardon the pro-life prisoners unjustly targeted and jailed by the Biden administration. Republican Missouri Senator Josh Hawley posted on X they deserve to be free. Indeed, Rep Roy on January 21st introduced reintroduced legislation to repeal the FACE Act.

Saying Americans just spent the last four years being targeted by a weaponized justice system. The FACE Act was one of the primary weapons of abuse being used to politically target, arrest and jail pro-life Americans for speaking out and standing up for life. Congressman Roy said, well, President Trump and his team are already fast at work reversing the damage of the political prosecutions and persecutions through pardons and commutations. I am hopeful those targeted under the FACE Act will be given similar relief. More importantly, we in Congress need to do our part to eliminate the laws used to weaponize for the weaponization, including the FACE Act.

Data my office obtained from Merrick Garland's DOJ showed that 97 percent of FASAC prosecutions from 94 to 24, 1994 to 2024, were against pro-life Americans. Now that we have a Republican trifecta in the House and at White House, don't forget Supreme Court, Congress should move quickly to repeal the law and ensure that no future president can weaponize it against pro-lifers. Again, no more excuses. Let's get it done. Let me say this, my friends. Abortion as contraception is wrong.

The intentional process by which you terminate the life of a baby in the womb for the purpose of I just didn't want to have it. That's wrong. That is morally wrong and is outrageous. And as Ron Paul said, it shouldn't be illegal. It should be unthinkable. And I agree with that. Why? I'll tell you my ideal circumstance. When you get to the point in a society where you begin writing down things you should not do, that is when you realize that your culture and your constitution, what actually makes the people are breaking down.

What we want as a society is cultural ubiquity that everyone recognizes. You do not end the life of a child simply because you don't want a baby. Sorry, there's responsibility involved. But the reason why I say it shouldn't be illegal, it should be unthinkable, is that our society should recognize you are not doing this. It's wrong. But...

In the rare circumstances where there is a doctor and a medical procedure, and it is rare, where a doctor says to a woman, there is a circumstance in which we believe that the baby will die, you will die. We need to perform a procedure, but unfortunately this would terminate the pregnancy, but it's this or nothing. I don't like the idea that we have to adjudicate that at a courtroom.

There are stories, and these are true, where there is believed to be a brain-dead fetus that the woman would like to terminate that is literally not a live being. Well, I guess it's a challenge. It's a challenge. I know pro-lifers probably would disagree with me on that one. They would say that brain death does not preclude one's right to actually, as the body, live. But I do believe there are still challenges in –

stillbirths or like the babies can die. And it's happened to people I know. I don't want to be in a scenario where a woman is forced to carry a dead fetus simply because she would be required to adjudicate this in the court of law. That being said, what we are, what are we trying to accomplish? And what do I agree on with the pro-lifers? Though I consider myself a traditional pro-choice, although I hate the term now because it's used to mean pro-abortion, which I think is wrong.

I'm trying to accomplish a scenario by which we all I would say we all agree the pro-life would agree with this on this one. We don't want anyone ever to abort a baby simply because they don't want to have a baby. We all agree that shouldn't be happening. How we go about getting there is the challenge, I suppose. Now, that being said, I don't want to just read just debate all the abortion stuff. The FACE Act is clearly an affront to justice. This is a stupid law.

It prohibits three things using physical force, threat of force or physical obstruction to intentionally injure, intimidate or interfere with or attempt to injure blah, blah, blah. Someone is obtaining abortion or a place of worship. Oh, come on. We know what it's about. It's about some some peaceful protesters linking arms in front of an abortion clinic, which they should be allowed to do. Sorry, but you see, abortion for these people is religion.

I mean, this is this is this is insane to me that you have. Now, certainly I can understand you want to imprison people who murder others, but that's already illegal. You don't need anything special for that. This the left's obsession with giving everyone abortions is terrifying, but I think it's largely because they're Malthusian. They don't want people. They don't like people. Well, my friends, I've heard a lot of people say, Tim, you will be pro-life the moment you see your baby on on the sonogram. Is that what it's called?

The ultrasound and with my child very nearly on the way, I would say it was a profound feeling. And everybody with kids knows it. When you see that image for the first time of your own child, it is a profound, indescribable feeling. But I would say that largely my opinion had already shifted a long time ago, well before I was about to be a dad.

And that is I I I find it to be the utmost of irresponsibility, gluttony and wrath that there are individuals in this country who would decide that they would get an abortion simply because they don't want the baby. I mean, that's just absolutely insane to me. And I know it is insane to all the pro-lifers as well.

Where I disagree with the pro-life crowd largely is on the limits of government in how we adjudicate these claims and these processes. And I recognize it's a moral impossibility. It's an absolute moral impossibility. There's no middle ground. There is yes or no on this, and it's tough. And so—

It's sad to me that it used to be as I grew up, pro-life and pro-choice was do we ban abortion or do we recognize sometimes there are drastic medical emergencies? And the issue has always been that too many people have abused what was supposed to be for emergencies for lack of responsibility. So I agree largely with pro-life crowd, largely. But I take the more libertarian pro-life stance, which is government restriction but agreement that abortion is wrong.

I don't have an answer for you. I'll just say this. I know there'll be a million comments, but I will just say it again. There's there's no easy answer on this one. And I understand the pro-lifers position. That's why they say just ban it. Just shut it down and adjudicate any medical emergencies. That's tough. That is seriously tough. I don't know, man. No good answers for you. But I'm glad to see that Trump is pardoning these people because people peaceful protest is peaceful protest. I'll leave it there. More is one more segment coming up. Smash the like button. Share the show with everyone. You know, we will see you at six. Thanks for hanging out.

The scope of deportation is coming into focus. The Air Force will conduct deportation flights for thousands of people. Donald Trump is deputizing. I don't know if that's the right word, deputizing. But he's granting deportation and immigration authority to the DEA, the ATF. And oh, boy. Oh, boy. You know, one of the biggest questions we had before Donald Trump got elected was what is he going to do to enforce the law? Is he going to call in the military?

A lot of people got scared. The idea of soldiers going around, right? Well, so far, I think it looks pretty good.

We've got existing federal law enforcement. They are going to assist in deportation efforts. Hopefully we will see actions from local law enforcement. And then, of course, we have the military's involvement. But my friends, it's not like as of right now, we're talking about soldiers in trucks and trains loading people up. We're talking about federal law enforcement agents, cops arresting people who broke the law. And then we just use military transport to send them home. I think it's actually incredibly nice.

Sir, you are here unlawfully. You've broken the law. You've hurt people. And the worst thing that will happen to you is you're getting a ride home. How nice. Trump is such a nice guy. Here's a story from air and space forces dot com.

The Pentagon plans to use the U.S. Air Force C-17s and C-130s to deport 5,400 people currently detained by CBP. They announced on January 22nd the first act in President Trump's sweeping promise to crack down on undocumented immigrants and increase border security. You don't need to say undocumented anymore. Just say, you know, I'm fine with unauthorized. I prefer criminal criminal.

You know, we were talking to Rep. Ro Khanna and he said that, you know, immigrants commit lower crime. And I was like, yeah, but illegal immigrants commit 100 percent crime. You know, look, it's not going to work on me. Right. When you come on the show and you say immigrants commit less crime, I'm like, you're talking about legal immigrants from like Britain, dude, or from like Nigeria. These legal immigrants tend to be well-intentioned people who filed the paperwork and do the right thing. And we love it. We respect that.

They say the reason why Nigerian Americans, people who move here, immigrate here, tend to do so well, make a lot of money, is that these are people who in their country worked hard, saved up, applied properly, came here and legally, legally emigrated. And we love that. That's beautiful. Thank you. See, that's what I would call enrichment. Individuals who say the American dream, the American way, that's the way to be. And they work hard and they prove themselves and they come to us and they ask, will you accept me? We say, yes. Incredible.

Is that dude who ran in Virginia? His name was Hung Cao. And his story was that his family fled Vietnam. And in response, or I should say to pay back this great nation for taking him in. He served for 25 years in the Navy. That is epic. That's what immigration is supposed to be.

Now, if you have people who come here illegally, they are criminals and they broke the law. So what they try to do, they try to lump immigrant in. They try to make illegal immigrant and immigrant the same thing. No, no, I won't do it.

All right. They say right now, we also anticipate that there will be some additional airborne intelligence surveillance support assets that would move down the border to increase situational awareness, a senior military official told reporters. Acting Secretary of Defense Robert Celesis said in a statement that 1,500 active duty troops are being sent to the southern border to take complete operational control of the southern border of the United States. Ultimately, as many as 10,000 could be deployed, the senior military official added.

This is just the beginning, Celeste's statement noted. The deportation flights will be carried out using two USAF C-17s and two C-130s, according to the Pentagon. Those aircraft, along with the air crew and a handful of other personnel, will deploy to San Diego, California and El Paso, Texas. C-17s from Travis Air Force Base. Wow, this is intensive, they say. But officials are still unclear where the thousands of people will be deported to, the Pentagon said. Well, um...

Me, I also have questions, but I wonder if we can just ferry them peacefully to Mexico. And that's that's one place because I don't I don't know how you do it all in one lump sum. Right. Quote, the State Department has the decision making and has the relationships that they're working with those countries that will ultimately be the source to where these flights are going.

The Pentagon said the Department of Homeland Security would provide in-flight law enforcement, not military personnel. Interesting. So federal agents, I respect this. I've said we got to do it, but it's got to be done perfectly. We do not want anyone being abused. We do not want anyone coming to harm. And I stress this. I want orderly, peaceful. Good, sir. You're a bad person, but we're giving you a ride home. I don't want to see none of this harsh thrown in the back of trucks and trains. None of that.

And I still have fears it will come to pass, but I think that's a bad thing and they shouldn't do it. The challenge then becomes, look, man, you broke the law entering here illegally. We're not entitled. We're not required to give you a luxury hotel room. OK, we're sending you home.

They're going to say the Pentagon said that DHS will provide law enforcement. If additional airborne assets are deployed for surveillance along the border, they will be drawn from a variety of services and not just the U.S. Air Force. This will be multi-service. Tactical UAS could be used to provide localized intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance in a particular area. An Army MQ-1 and Air Force MQ-9 drone could be deployed as well.

Wow.

Senior military officials said of the new deployments, first operations for them should commence within the next 24 to 48 hours. They're moving right now as we sit here. And I hope we see a redeployment of the concertina wire. Texas said we're deploying the razor wire yet. Don't try to jump over it. OK, that's your problem. And Biden was like, no.

They wanted to put up, I think in Arizona they did this. They built a wall of shipping containers. And Biden's government was like, no, you can't do any of this. And it's like, why? Why are they intentionally allowing people to storm our borders? Because they're evil. They want to say...

The operation will be led by U.S. Northern Command, which Trump charged to seal the borders by repelling forms of invasion. U.S. troops are prohibited from performing law enforcement duties under the Posse Comitatus Act. But Trump said in his executive order that their use is justified because he has declared a border emergency to stop forms of invasion, including unlawful mass migration, narcotics trafficking, human smuggling and trafficking and other criminal activities. But these individuals are largely just creating barriers to protect this nation.

I think it's I think it's absolutely fair. We're not asking we're not asking Marines or U.S. Army to go into New York to enforce traffic law. Boy, I got to tell you, when I was in New York during Occupy, we had there were some off duty. They were on leave. There are some some army personnel on leave and they were walking around Zuccotti Park.

And these people are so insane. One guy started screaming posse comitatus over and over again at these guys. And he's like, they're not allowed to be here. They're not allowed to be here. Posse comitatus, posse comitatus. And I'm like, guy, stop. They're on leave, man. They're just walking around. They're going to buy a cheeseburger, dude. Chill. These poor guys. They're just standing there getting yelled at by these activists. Okay, listen, this is the way it should be. Our good, brave men and women in uniform. And look, I'm going to be the first to tell you,

You get a lot of this glorification of like they're all heroes. Well, you know, a lot of them are. Some of them just wanted a job and that's OK. They chose a job that we need done and I respect it. And that means you will protect this country. The photo in question, by the way, is from 2018. This is interesting that they say what the photo is. U.S. CBP officers.

from El Paso Field Office Board of U.S. Air Force C-17 in November 15th, 2018. That's crazy. I think Trump wanted to do this stuff back in the day, but they would not allow it. Well, now we're moving forward and Trump is taking action. He's ripping into FEMA. We've got two big disasters. Trump's going to visit North Carolina on Friday before heading to California to see the ongoing fire destruction. This man's getting the job done.

We're spending hundreds of billions of dollars on foreign countries. He's put a pause on foreign aid until we take care of America. And man, is that one of the greatest things I've ever heard. So I guess I got a question for all of you in the comments, in the comments. The question for you is, for those of you that served, would you? I suppose the answer is obvious that you would. You would abide by lawful orders. But would you feel good about it? You know, right now we've got money being sent to Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, other countries.

And there are troops in the Middle East that I don't think are serving any real purpose. I understand there's machinations at play and there's a reason for them to be there. But I'm curious for those that actually served, how would you feel if you were ordered to go to the southern border, protect this country versus being sent to Syria to protect an oil field or a poppy field in Afghanistan?

I think it's about time we got some real governance and respect for the people in uniform. Maybe now they'll actually do something that protects this country instead of guarding poppy fields in Afghanistan. Don't get me wrong. I know there's a lot of people who have done a lot of great things for this country. I'm saying there are some people that serve that were certainly given orders that they didn't think that was going to be the job.
