Crime Alert, I'm Nancy Grace, breaking crime news now. As the jury hears more details from alleged Sean Combs, aka Diddy's victims, Combs and his lawyers maintain he is not guilty of sex trafficking.
Crime Online's Sydney Sumner joining us now with more from the courtroom. Nancy, although Breonna Bongolin already gave her testimony regarding the incident where Sean Diddy Combs dangled her from the balcony of Cassie Ventura's L.A. apartment, court began yesterday morning with the judge questioning its relevancy to the prosecution's case.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Christy Slavik said the incident shows the jury how Combs' violence extended beyond Ventura, which helps prove Combs' alleged coercion of Ventura. Legal experts say Bongolin's testimony demonstrates mob-like behavior essential to proving racketeering conspiracy and say the most notable part about the incident is that Bongolin was never an intimate partner of Sean Combs.
But as Bongolin's cross-examination continued, the defense pointed out glaring inconsistencies in Bongolin's timeline. Brianna Bongolin, who could not remember the exact date of the incident independently, used the timestamps from photos of her injuries taken in the hours after the incident to determine it must have occurred on September 26, 2016.
Defense attorney Nicole Westmoreland enters Combs' Bad Boy Family reunion tour schedule into evidence, pointing out Combs had a performance in New Jersey on September 25th, then provides photos of Combs and Cassie attending an event in New York on September 26th. But that's not all. Westmoreland also submits records of a hotel reservation for Frank Black at the Trump International Hotel. The check-in date is September 24th, and the room was vacated on September 29th.
Bongolin is forced to admit that a person cannot be in two places at once, but can't offer any more explanation for the date discrepancy. Westmoreland accuses Bongolin of lying to the jury, excited about the prospect of becoming a millionaire should she succeed, proving her allegations in civil court. But Bongolin insists she's telling the truth to the best of her ability, and her only interest is in justice.
After lunch, the prosecution gets in the final word on the matter, submitting a screenshot dated September 30, 2016, taken on Combs' chief of staff, Christina Corum's cell phone. The photo depicts a text exchange with Cassie Ventura, where Ventura tells Corum she has to stay away from Combs because she learned he dangled her friend Bona off the balcony of her apartment.
The screenshot was recovered from Coram's phone when it was seized at the Apalaca Airport in Miami as Homeland Security carried out their multi-faceted raid. With Breonna Bond's
Diana Bongolin's testimony concluded, "Honeland security digital forensic analyst Enrique Santos took the stand for less than half an hour to explain his role in the investigation. Santos testified he extracted data from three of Cassie Ventura's iPhones, even information that had been deleted. Santos explains that some of the deleted information, including text chains, were not always perfectly restored, with some contact names missing, incorrect, or having random symbols inserted between letters."
Alleged victim Jane then made her way to the stand after much anticipation. Her testimony is expected to continue for much of next week, hopefully concluding before she is scheduled to leave the country Thursday evening. Jane tells the court her unexpected relationship with Combs moved quickly, and within a few months of dating, Combs began paying her rent.
Shortly after that, Combs suggested they bring another man into their bed, and Jane agreed in the heat of the moment, but Combs then stopped everything and arranged for a man to meet them at a hotel that very night.
Jane says it's like she accidentally opened a Pandora's box because Combs insisted on inviting a third party to all of their meetups, despite her protests. Jane testifies that each time she expressed not wanting to involve any other men, Combs threatened to break up with her and, of course, revoke his financial support.

Kubai tells cops he brought Willow with him to run errands at Walmart. He fed her, then laid her down on her stomach. He claims when he went to check on her later, she wasn't breathing. However, Walmart security footage shows Kubai at a self-checkout register alone, with Willow nowhere to be found. An autopsy reveals Willow had 10 rib fractures, multiple blunt force trauma strikes to the front of her head, and a swollen and hemorrhaged spine.
