All right, Leonard Skinner, Simple Man. That can only mean one thing on this radio program, and that's all things Simple Man. That means all things Bill O'Reilly, all things Bill O'Reilly at BillOReilly.com. It is my great privilege and pleasure and relief to report to you that Mr. O'Reilly has gone to Japan and China and made it home safely, and it just so happens that the president will be speaking with

with President Xi tomorrow, so it's very timely in terms of news. And a Chinese researcher has now been caught trying to smuggle a potential bioweapon into the United States. And anyway, Mr. O'Reilly, I had a SWAT team on standby, not gonna say what part of the world they were in, to go in for the rescue mission had you been taken captive. Glad you're back. How are you? How was your trip? Yeah, they wanted to get rid of me. Oh, jeez.

They wanted you out? Yeah, we had enough. I had three days. Unbelievable police state, though, in China. I was in Spain when Franco was the dictator there. I was in Romania when I was controlled by the Soviet Union. I've been to Cuba. Nothing comes close to China.

They actually confiscated my pens. What? Your pens? Yeah, it was a woman about 24 years old in a little communist uniform, and that's always trouble. It doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman. You give these people power. And they x-rayed my carry-on thing that I had, and they go, give me your pens. I said, I'm a journalist. I need them to write stuff down. No, they took them.

And I told that to the Politburo guys that I spoke with that evening. So they gave me two really nice pens to make up for it. But at least you're looking at over in China. Unbelievable. All right. So you go there and you did forego any honorarium.

They wanted you to go there to talk about President Trump so they can understand Trump. Now, the president is speaking or spoke with Putin earlier today and is speaking with President Xi tomorrow. There's a lot happening in the news. The president has accused China of violating the trade deal that they had just recently made. Number one. And, you know, then we have this issue that I just mentioned.

We have a Chinese researcher caught trying to smuggle in a potential bioweapon into the United States.

You know, China has been ripping off America. How did it go? How was the reception you received? And to what extent were they spying on you? Like, are we going to see pictures on the Internet of Bill O'Reilly showering in his hotel room any day now? I hope not, because that would shut down the worldwide social media. We didn't bring our cell phones. We use burners because they'll hack your cell phones.

I went over there at the invitation of the wealthiest man in China who runs the Beijing Club for International Relations. And my goal, and I think I accomplished it, was to set the stage for positive negotiations. I've been working for a year on a...

policy call partnership for peace and prosperity. And just briefly, if you follow me on BillOReilly.com, you know what that is. But for those who don't, it's an alliance between a capitalist USA, the communist China, to

police the world to stop Putin, to stop the mullahs. And the reason that the Chinese would do it is economic. They've got to feed a billion and a half people. They need a new U.S. market.

Now, if I had been invited by the Moscow club, I don't think I could have gotten through to Putin or Putin's boys. I think Putin is psychotic. And I think that that's a far more unstable situation than China. I had 13 people in the room, 12 men, one woman, the most powerful people in the country.

It was taped. It was off the record. But I assume that President Xi saw it. It was 90 minutes. They asked me questions about President Trump. And you know me, no spin. And I told them.

That was going to be it. I also told him that when I got back to America, I'd have to debrief the president, which I did on Sunday. And I'm very happy that he and she are going to be on the phone. I think they can work it out. Taiwan far and away the biggest issue for the Chinese, not the tariffs, Taiwan. And I listened respectfully. They listened respectfully for me. It was a good dialogue.

And I am cautiously optimistic. We have to tamp down the cold war between China and the United States. If we do not, then the world is going to be put into chaos and dangerous chaos.

Well, I can tell you, I think that there is look, I think both have big weapons in this battle over trade. For example, the Chinese desperately need access to our markets. And temporarily, we've learned that Biden left us with a vulnerability that most Americans didn't know about. And that is rare earth minerals.

And and although I can tell you at the speed of light, America is looking to for alternatives and they won't have that advantage very long, but they still need access to our markets. Now, I would hope that tomorrow's phone call results in some type of deal where, you know, we understand that there's mutually assured destruction. Well, the harm I won't call it destruction.

But the Chinese economy cannot thrive without access to American markets. And listen, we do need certain rare earth minerals. And unfortunately, we've allowed ourselves to be put in a position where...

We are dependent on them, just like a lot of our pharmaceuticals are produced in China. That has to stop. And too many semiconductors have been, you know, we rely on Taiwan for. And, you know, the president now is going to be in-house. We're going to be producing our own pharmaceuticals, automobiles and semiconductor chips. And we are now developing alternatives to rare earth minerals. The only reason we have them all here, except the left wouldn't allow us to mine for them. Did any of that come up?

All of it. And that's what Greenland is all about, by the way. So President Trump is forward-looking. He understands everything you just said very well. He understands that China needs the U.S. market to feed a billion and a half people. And China knows that, too, which is the reason I'm cautiously optimistic. But there's very bad feeling, and that's got to be tamped down.

It was off the record, but I can tell you certain things. Like, I went in and I said, look, you're not dealing with a weak president. And this was the headline. As soon as I went in there, four or five of these Politburo guys said, we're happy that Trump's president...

We didn't like Joe Biden. He was weak and unfocused. That's the word they used, unfocused. Half of them spoke English, half of them didn't, and they had to have headphones to instant translate. And that was a little surprising for me. But they said, we think we can do business with it. And I said, if you want to do business with the president, there's two things that you cannot do. And this is, I was speaking pretty bluntly, you know me.

It's number one. Well, you're very, very known for being demure and quiet and very, very respectful. City aside, I was very methodical in my presentation. I said, you can't publicly humiliate him. You can't do that. And if you do, you're going to get nowhere. OK. And the second is you got to give him something. And if I can be so bold as to just knock out the fentanyl production.

And then one guy said, oh, we don't make fentanyl. We just make the precursors. And I looked at him. I said, do you need fentanyl at all? Do you need the precursors here? Nope. I said, you don't need that. Give that to President Trump. That's how you begin.

a negotiation that's positive and there wasn't a lot of pushback chinese never tell you what they're thinking when they uh disagree with you or think you're a loon they frown deeply when they understand or with you they by the way there must have been a lot of frowning with you in the room but keep going as much as there is in the american media i'll tell you that

You know what was shocking? They watch my show every night. By the way, that's what shocked me in Riyadh. I mean, I go up where the dais is. The president's with the crown prince.

And the president starts talking about, oh, he's the top guy in media in America. And he makes this insane amount of money, which I don't make. And and not as much as you, Crown Prince, but he makes, you know, and then I said, Mr. President, I don't think anybody up here knows who I am. The guy sitting next to the president goes Hannity. The guy next to him goes, Sean Hannity, Fox News. I was like, oh, boy. Yeah.

Yeah, that's social media is overwhelmed. But the kicker is the Chinese people never see it. No, they don't see it. The people in Saudi Arabia do actually, Bill. No.

No, they do. And today is the, I think it's the 35th anniversary of Tiananmen Square. I stood in the middle of that square one week ago. And we'd be foolish, Americans would be foolish to underestimate the ferocity of the Chinese communist state. It's ferocious. But I think that Donald Trump is the best negotiator in the world. And I don't say that with any patronizing or anything like that.

I think that just the fact he is. Yeah, I think he's an excellent dealmaker. And if he will cooperate at least 50 percent, they'll get a deal. See, Putin is not going to cooperate until you break his arm. OK, it's clear now that Donald Trump underestimated Putin. Putin is psychotic, in my opinion. One million Russian casualties. One million.

In Ukraine, he's a he's a murdering thug dictator. And however, I think that the president, you know, did to his credit. He's not afraid to take on big issues, Bill. And and peace in Europe is critical. Peace in the Middle East is critical. Looks like the Iranians now are rejecting the president's deal to their to their own detriment. You and I both know what the likely outcome is going to be.

and it's unfortunate it was it's all avoidable and and all of that but you're you're right i mean we have we have some very very serious problems that he inherited and he's going at all of them and you got to give him credit for tackling the big issues and not hiding from him no look he underestimated putin's psychosis so did i i got putin on my upcoming book confronting evil he's on a book right next to mal by the way and

And if you go to BillOReilly.com, you'll see me standing in front of a picture of Mao, a huge picture. You'll also see me at the Great Wall of China, which is, in my opinion, the most stunning attraction in the world.

400,000 human beings were killed constructing that wall. It is just an amazing sight. But getting back to the politics of it, President Trump finds himself in a very dangerous world. We had four years of a president who couldn't even come out of his room. And this is the same thing that happened to Abraham Lincoln when the Civil War began. He had to clean up the mess.

But I think Donald Trump has a pretty good vision. But again, Putin is going to have to be different than the Chinese. I don't think I could have gotten anywhere with the Russian people. I think I'd set the table in Beijing last week, and I'm hoping that good things come out.

I'm just glad you got home alive. And I'm not kidding. I mean, there was a certain amount of risk going there. There's no doubt about it. Let me ask you about this, because this was just breaking today. As long as we're talking about international issues and about, you know, these troubled spots in the world, New York Post reporting Iran's supreme leader,

uh blasting the us as arrogant as he effectively rejects this revised nuclear deal that would have reportedly allowed them to have low-level imported uranium uh i am told my sources that the uranium that they've enriched up to this point is under the care of the iaea and i have zero confidence in them

And then you look at Rasmussen, 84% of Americans side with Donald Trump stopping Iran's nuclear program. Now, Bill, my sources, and they're impeccable, tell me that they are at over 60% enrichment. Less than a month, they'll be at weapons grade, 90% enrichment if they want to be. And if they have the delivery systems, I believe we risk a modern day Holocaust. What does the president do here? Well,

Well, he may send a signal today saying that this deal has to be done. He didn't put a time, an exact time, but fairly quickly. Look, he can get that deal done. The mullahs know that if they don't sign the deal, I would say within two weeks, that Israel is going to take out all four ports and they'll starve the Persian people. That's what will happen. And China is not going to intervene. China didn't care about the Iranian thing. And I was surprised.

and i said you ought to care but they really don't they don't care about putin either uh... china is a very centric we care about our people are people alone this is what we want

I said, you can get some of what you want. You're not going to get all. One more thing I want to tell you. This was fairly stunning. So I'm sitting there with these guys, and it was very respectful. Very polite. Bill, just leave it there. Let me pick it up on the other side. Let me hold you over for a few more minutes. I know you have to go in a few.

But this is too important to let you go. We are with Bill O'Reilly, all things O'Reilly at BillOReilly.com. Quick break. More with Bill on the other side of this break as we continue. You're about to head out and your phone starts blowing up. The temptation is real. What if it's your situation, Jim, texting back? Even if it is, what are you going to do? Respond now? This was an important trip. I'm actually very proud of you. Sounds like you did a really good job. You're holding me over because this is very important. So when I walked into this meeting at the Beijing Club, I thought it was going to be heavy tariffs, but that was not...

as i said earlier uh... the focus the focus was in two thousand of forty nine it'll be a hundred years is mouth a tongue and post communism brutally on the chinese people they uh... the government is

adamant that by that date Taiwan will be under the Chinese Communist flag. That gives the world some room. The most important question asked of me by a very high ranking Chinese government official was,

If we have to use military force on Taiwan, what do you think President Trump would do? Now that's a heavy question. And I said to him, I cannot speak for President Trump and I have no idea. And for me to guess or speculate would be irresponsible, not only to my country, but to yours.

But I can tell you one thing with certainty. And then the whole room, Hannity, leaned forward. I said, President Trump is not going to allow any country on this earth

How did they react to that?

They wrote it down. - That's pretty interesting. Now, I had similar experiences, 'cause we're dealing with really, we're dealing with the world's hotspots here. He's trying to bring about peace in Europe, he's trying to bring peace in the Middle East,

And when I went with the president on the trip and reported on the trip from Riyadh and in Saudi Arabia, and then we went to Qatar, Qatar, however you prefer to pronounce it. You can do it both ways. And I was there. And then we went to Abu Dhabi in the UAE. I can tell you what I learned. I learned that all these Gulf states would love to join the Abraham Accords. They're not going to say it out loud.

They want peace in the region like China, Bill. They they're all about business. They want to be in business with the U.S. They want to expand their economies. They want to diversify their economies. What they are deathly afraid of, however, is the threat of Iran.

And so there's a lot of similarities in what you're describing here, with the exception, you know, you think the same about Xi and China. But we both agree that Putin and Russia now, you know, is a whole different equation. And by the way, you know, earlier today, the president put out that he talked to Putin an hour and 15 minutes ago.

And they discussed the attack on Russia's airplanes by Ukraine. He said it was a good conversation. It won't lead to an immediate peace, he said. He said Putin did say that he will respond to the recent attack on the airfields. Then they also discussed Iran and the fact that time is running out on Iran's decision pertaining to nuclear weapons, which must be made quickly. I stated to Putin that Iran can have a nuclear weapon.

I believe we were in agreement and he said that he will participate in discussions with Iran that he could perhaps be helpful in getting this brought to a rapid conclusion. He said, in my opinion, Iran has been slow walking their decision on this very important matter and we will need a definitive answer in a very short period of time. I mean, the world's hanging in a balance in many ways, Bill, between Europe, Ukraine, Russia, the Middle East, Iran,

And China, I mean, you're looking at a lot of hot spots in the world. The most important story for Americans is the China-USA relationship. Iran will fold. That will happen. Putin doesn't care about Iran. He doesn't want that to happen.

intrude on anything that he does so he'll help uh... it was printed the most nice suggested a president she might want to do that too and i think that'll be part of the conversation between trump and she tomorrow so prudence she would both say that uh... mullers he had a knock it off

You've got to sign this treaty and let's go forward. And I think that will happen. But the United States and Europe are going to have to really put a hurt on Putin. I'll tell you what. They have 82 senators that have now signed on to a massive sanctions bill. Does that does that bring enough pressure? I'm not sure he's psychotic. As I said at the beginning of this conversation, we're not dealing with a normal human being here.

And because a normal human being would have taken the deal that Trump offered, which was a good deal for Putin and Russia. Let me ask you this question about China. The governor of Arizona, Katie Hobbs, vetoed a bill that would prevent China from buying land near military bases. You were just in China, Bill. I assume they monitored you every second. I assume I was probably being monitored while I was in China.

the Gulf states. I have very little doubt about it. I know I was in Vietnam. I know I was in Singapore. I know I was in Helsinki. I would imagine the same. And like you, I took a burner phone just for that trip. Right. And so the Chinese Chinese nationals in this country have been buying up ranch land, farmland and land near military installation.

military installations and the governor of Arizona vetoed a bill preventing China from buying land near military bases. How stupid is she? Well, she's going to lose. Robeson will win. But I want...

the United States at this juncture in history to lay off the small ball stuff. I didn't think the expulsion of Chinese students was a good move. The Chinese take all this very personally, very personally. Big picture. That's what we need. Xi needs to be empowered, okay, to the extent that Trump is treating him as an equal. Very psychologically important. Now, I don't know if it's going to work out.

But this is by far and away the most important story for every American. We are a top geopolitical foe, but Iran is a more imminent threat, as in my humble opinion. Yeah, well, Israel will take them out, Hannity. Israel is going to need the help of the U.S. bill. They can't do it without us. They need our bunker busters. They need our planes. They need they need help.

And we'll give them the help they want. Trump's not going to stand aside and let Iran get the nuke. You said it 15 times. He thought so. He said it five times in front of me when I was in the Middle East with him. I heard him. And look, if I were worried about it, I tell you, I think it's terrible. I think it's a terrible situation for all the world. But I'm not worried about Iran. That's going to work itself out. I am worried about China and Putin.

And I'm praying that China does do this partnership for prosperity and peace. And if they do, it's a game changer for the entire world. And I told these people in Beijing, every single Chinese citizen will benefit if you can get a deal with America. They have not shown any desire to.

They'll never show that. That's not the way they operate. But I think she and Trump can get it done one on one. But he's such an authoritarian figure. I mean, when The Wall Street Journal was chronicling the the unrest that was going on as these factories were shutting down because of the Trump tariffs.

You think President Xi gives a flying hoot about any one person in China? He will crush them. He will destroy them. And he won't blink an eye. No, that's what his legacy. And that's exactly how I put it. If she can enter into this partnership.

and his people benefit, and the world calms down, then he becomes a great leader. That's what he wants. Just like Trump wants to be a great president. I hope you're right. I think there's definitely a possibility of it, but I'm a trust-but-verify Reagan guy in that sense.

He's not. Listen, he's not gone into Taiwan. I actually thought if he was going to do it, he would have done it during the Biden years. The Taiwanese will fight. China does not want that. China's economy is shaky. That'll put them right into a depression if they do it.

This is a long-term deal. But I think they can get an arrangement with Taiwan. I'm hoping that that will happen. But at this point, you know, I did what I could do. And I want everybody to know I paid for that trip. Nobody gave me... No, you didn't get an honorarium. You paid for your own airfare, hotel, everything. I got the Peking duck, which was good.

But that's what I, and I hauled my son along so he could get a view of the world that no 21 year old in the world has. I'm glad you did that. It sounds like a really productive trip. It's we, we've got to compare notes on the trips we took recently. Um,

because it really is an honor to do it. And, you know, Linda would say, well, why are you doing your shows? I'm like, well, the whole reason is to share with our audience. And the fact that you can share your trip with our audience, I think, is equally important. You know, as we get older, we start to begin to think about, you know, the world we're going to leave our children and grandchildren. And there's a lot of hot spots in the world. And I worry about all of it.

Bill O'Reilly, we do appreciate the extra time. Thank you for being with us. All things O'Reilly at BillOReilly.com, and we're glad you're home safe. Thanks, Sean. Appreciate it. 800-941-SEAN is our number if you want to be a part of the program. Look, Israel's safety today depends on the brave men and women of the IDF. Every citizen, by the way, is required to serve. I actually think we should adopt this in this country. It would be so good for our young people. Many serve without family nearby, and their families suffer.

Now, I got a chance to be with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and all these great people and all their great donors. And it was very meaningful yesterday. And a group of us met with them.

And, you know, to understand what's happening and to hear what they're doing on the ground and the humanitarian assistance that they're offering and and how Israel is in this fight for their very survival and this existential threat that is known as Iran that they have to deal with every single day and.

you know, they're providing humanitarian assistance and food and water and medicine and shelter and clothing and also things like flak jackets and mobile bomb shelters and

I mean, they are doing God's work every day at a time when they are most in need. And that's why the IFCJ exists. It's the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, people of all faiths getting together and helping Israel as they fight for their survival. We hope you can help as well.

Their toll-free number is 888-488-IFCJ, 888-488-IFCJ. On the web, it's ifcj.org. That's ifcj.org. And we hope you can donate generously today. These are great people doing great work. The final hour of the Sean Hannity Show is up next. Hang on for Sean's conservative solutions. Thank you.

Our favorite senator from Louisiana, John Kennedy. This is a great moment that took place. Drilling this law professor, Kate Shaw, over previous comments about evil Supreme Court justices. Quote, I'm embarrassed you're teaching our kids. Ouch. Checkmate moment. Listen. On April 22nd,

2024, you said there are some members of the Supreme Court that are evil. Which justices were you talking about? I'll take it your words, Senator. I don't recall using that word. All right, here's what you said. You were talking about the majority opinion in Muldrow v. City of St. Louis. You said, quote,

Justice Kagan, I mean, will she be able to control the opinion's future distortion by her evil colleagues? Probably not. End quote. Who are you talking about? Sir, I'm very skeptical. If it's a transcription, it was probably a transcription error. I do not think I said that. No, you said it. Why don't you own up to it? You call some members of the Supreme Court evil.

Now, which ones do you think are evil? I would have to refresh my recollection. I've been very critical of some members of the Supreme Court. You're embarrassed that you made that statement, aren't you? You're an officer of the court. You know what I'm embarrassed at? That you're teaching our kids.

I don't refer to Supreme Court justices as evil in the classroom, sir. On the podcast, April 22nd, 2024. Big as Dallas. And you're an officer of the court, and you're here advising us to be respectful of federal judges? And you say they're evil members of the United States Supreme Court? Gag me with a spoon.

You're part of what's the problem in all of this. You know, it's sort of like I had this liberal on the other night. Linda, you saw the show. And it was pretty unbelievable when I asked, well, when did you first notice Joe Biden's cognitive decline? He goes, well, I never saw it. I'm like, really? You never saw it. I think you're lying.
