Some stormy conditions, especially across east and central Texas, all the way through the Arklatek region. This is a major concern for flash flooding, especially from San Antonio to Houston, the Red River Valley, and to Shreveport. Damaging winds and a few tornadoes are also possible this afternoon.

Severe storms also possible this afternoon and evening across the Pocono Mountain Range south into New Jersey and New York with gusty winds. It is going to be hot and muggy ahead of those storms this afternoon. Flash flooding also looms for the upper Midwest. This includes Minneapolis, St. Paul. We'll see one to three inches of rain over a short time that could cause some flooding. Some of the storms here could also produce some hail and damaging winds. We do start to dry out and be a little more settled by Saturday. Florida also going into the rainy season, so afternoon showers and thunderstorms as well.
