I'm Fox weather meteorologist Britta Merwin. Here's the latest from America's Weather Center. It's another really tough day. We have a high potential for severe weather. We still have continuing risks for flooding. In fact, this morning we have two flash flood emergencies that will expire, but more heavy rain is on the way. In some areas like Texarkana, where we've had a flash flood emergency, it will only take a half inch to an inch of additional rain to bring flooding back into focus. It's going to be a tough day with the heaviest rain anticipated today from Texarkana on
all the way up to Paducah. Now, severe weather, we'll see a little bit of a wiggle down to the south. Unfortunately, a lot of folks in northwest Mississippi, Louisiana, even southeast Texas being added into the threat zone. We could see very powerful tornadoes today as well as strong straight-line winds. We've been battling that today across Oklahoma. It's a big catch here from the southern plains all the way up into the Midwest.
