Fox weather. I'm meteorologist Ari Sarsalari. Here's the latest from America's Weather Center. Very rainy day on Tappan in the southeast, especially throughout the state of Florida. And we do need the rain down there. We've got a pretty significant drought going on through a lot of the state. And South Florida is going to get some especially heavy rain through the day today. Highest flood chance will be from Miami to Fort Lauderdale. But the entire state has a chance for some on and off flash flooding. We've already seen some flash flooding in parts of South Carolina through the morning. And we're going to see some flash flooding in parts of the state.
And yeah, we're going to continue that chance for some flooding in parts of the Carolinas, Virginia, even Georgia as well. It's just a very slow moving area of low pressure. I think we're going to see a widespread three to five inches of rain, more than that down in South Florida. The heavy rain moves gradually toward the northeast tomorrow. So eastern Virginia, with all of this, we'll have at least a slight chance at a couple of isolated severe storms. But flooding is by far the number one threat.
