I'm Fox weather meteorologist Haley Meyer and here's the latest from America's Weather Center. This will now be the sixth out of the last seven weekends for New York City where you are going to experience some rain. It's a complex of fronts that's pushing through the northeast starting on Friday, bringing scattered showers and a rumble of thunder Friday afternoon. By Saturday, we have a sluggishly moving cold front across the interior northeast in the mid Atlantic. On Sunday, confidence goes down. It's going to mean an extended period of rain through Tuesday with elevated flash flood threats later on into the week.

For Florida, they're grappling with one of its most severe droughts, but many spots are going to be getting a lot of rain. Same cold front moving through Florida by the middle half of the weekend. As far as severe weather concerns, we are looking at a low-end chance for severe storms with large hail being the main threat for spots like Austin and San Antonio as a storm system begins to move south across central Texas.
