I'm Fox weather meteorologist Steve Bender. Here's the latest from America's Weather Center. Today starts the multi-day severe threat, a level four out of five for the Midwest all the way down towards the Gulf Coast. Major cities like St. Louis out towards Chicago, Indianapolis, all concerned about damaging winds that could get up to 100 miles per hour.

We do have the concern for tornadic conditions that will play out late Friday evening into the overnight hours. And then overnight on the northern side, blizzard conditions expected from the Dakotas moving into Minnesota. I-29 corridor is a spot where there's major concern for travel. And then tomorrow, a rare five out of five extreme threat. We're looking at strong EF2 or greater tornadoes playing out for long track, meaning miles on the ground. There's that potential.
