Fox Weather. Hey there, I'm Fox Weather Meteorologist Craig Herrera with the latest from America's Weather Center. It is a cold wind gusting 40 to 60 miles per hour across the Northeast, really from Charleston, West Virginia, clear up into Boston, all spots in between included, and that does mean New York. We'll get some snow squalls across the Northeast with the wind blowing across the Great Lakes. Meantime, new system in the Pacific Northwest bringing an additional seven inches of fresh snow above 3,500 feet.
and rain to the lower line areas. That snow is extending into the Rockies, across Nebraska, Kansas and central Missouri today. We could have up to a foot of fresh snow across the Ozarks by Tuesday. Of course with the wind, we could see blowing snow and that'll be a problem out there, especially along places like I-70, I-49, I-44. The cold air in place is gonna keep the snow pack around for several days.
Southern side of that, we do have some rain and some of those will bring some strong storms from Houston to Lake Charles and into New Orleans. Again, that's going to be Tuesday and Wednesday.
