Our first March storm finally exiting the country after producing widespread severe weather in the South and a crippling blizzard in the upper Midwest. Winds could still be a concern today from the Carolinas to New England. Wind advisories.

are set to expire in New England later this evening. In Boston, some of those winds could still gust upwards of 50 miles an hour. In our nation's capital, those bluster conditions will continue to ease and fortunately by the weekend, calmer weather will dominate. The wintry side of the storm left quite a mark on the Great Lakes. In fact, aside from the brutal winds, two feet of snow was measured in the UP of Michigan near Marquette
