Fox Weather. I'm Fox Weather Meteorologist Stephen Morgan with the latest from America's Weather Center, a site for sore eyes in South Texas as rain will finally return to a part of the state that really could use it, but it will be a multi-day heavy rain threat, so that
could lead to some flooding concerns in South Texas from just south of San Antonio to Houston. A flood watch is in effect through Friday for parts of the Rio Grande Valley all the way to Corpus Christi. Unfortunately, some of that dry soil will make it tough to absorb.
But after it's all said and done, rain totals could reach the double digits before this system exits on Friday. Meanwhile, with spring settling in, we'll have to watch for some severe weather as we head into the weekend. Several states in the Midwest and parts of the Mid-South, from Illinois to Mississippi, could see some rough storms on Sunday, and that threat will be expanding east to include parts of the eastern seaboard by Monday.
