I'm meteorologist Ari Sarsalari and here's the latest from America's Weather Center. Seems like this is the first time in a while where we're not talking about a storm named Debbie. And it's out of here, but it really left a path of destruction.
with plenty of flooding throughout the entire eastern part of the United States, especially close to the coast. Had some particularly bad flooding in the interior northeast and down in the Carolinas. And we've got a stalled out front sitting over the Carolinas right now that could produce some more rain over the next couple of days. On and off showers are going to be a little bit hit or miss, but the ground is really soaked, so don't be surprised.
If we see some flooding issues, level two out of four risk from the Weather Prediction Center for excessive rainfall or basically flash flooding. Tropics are going to heat up over the next couple of weeks. There are no immediate threats to the U.S. in the next week, but we're watching one disturbance that could become Ernesto. If it did get close to the U.S., it wouldn't be until at least next weekend. Remember, get the latest weather updates anytime, anywhere. Download the Fox Weather app at foxweather.com.
