Fox Weather.
Hey there, everybody. I'm Fox weather meteorologist Marissa Torres, and here's the latest from America's Weather Center. It is Friday, so celebrating the fact that it's the end of the work week, and as we head into the weekend, we're going to bring a little bit of rain with us. It is unsettled for the northeast. A slow-moving source system is to blame. It's going to bring some steady rain for Friday into Saturday, generally one to three inches of rain with the potential for flooding in areas that include upstate New York,
Connecticut, Massachusetts, all the way into Vermont and New Hampshire. So flood watches are in effect through Saturday and morning for some of you. For the southeast, it's warm and it's humid, but it's also potentially stormy in through the afternoon. Some of these storms could be severe. The strongest of the storms would bring some strong, severe wind gusts, even maybe produce some large hail. And then for the northern plains, it is record-breaking warmth. That mercury is going to be rising dramatically. So, in fact, some of the earliest 9-degree temperatures
in decades are possible in this part of the country. Warmth begins to build today. Get the latest weather updates anytime, anywhere. Download the Fox weather at foxweather.com.
