Fox weather. I'm Fox weather meteorologist Steven Morgan with the latest from America's Weather Center. The Pacific Northwest is getting pummeled once again by an atmospheric river. These narrow channels of high atmospheric moisture will continue affecting Washington and Oregon through Tuesday. River and urban flooding will remain a concern with three to five inches of rain possible even in upslope areas on the Olympic Peninsula. Snow levels will remain high. However, this
event through the evening will drop some of that cold air. And aside from the rain and snow, winds will remain gusty in the Pacific Northwest with widespread 50 to 60 mile an hour gusts. And as moisture and warmer air is fed into the Cascades and northern Rockies, the avalanche danger will remain very high, especially for backcountry skiers.
