Fox weather.
Hi there, I'm Fox weather meteorologist Kiana Lewis and here's the latest from America's Weather Center. We're starting off in the Pacific Northwest where tonight could get very active as we have the potential for severe weather. Record warmth from today along with an upper level disturbance has been creating an unstable atmosphere that will provide enough energy for thunderstorms and also pack the punch for damaging winds, large hail and even a tornado threat.
And as we head into the weekend, we have a multi-day severe weather threat that's going to take shape across parts of the southern plains in the southeast. This starts off on Sunday and trails into early Monday. The system is likely to bring in a severe risk of severe weather for the Mid-South, the Lower Mississippi Valley, the Ohio Valley, and the Tennessee Valley, damaging winds being the top priority in terms of threats, large hail, and even tornadoes across a very large area.
Of course, you can get the latest weather updates anytime, anywhere by downloading the Fox weather app at Fox weather dot com. It is time to take the quiz. It's five questions in less than five minutes. We ask people on the streets of New York City to play along. Let's see how you do. Take the quiz every day at the quiz dot box. Then come back here to see how you did. Thank you for taking the quiz.
