Hi there, I'm Fox weather meteorologist Craig Herrera with the latest from America's Weather Center. We've got a little snow moving over the Great Lakes today, not like we saw the blizzard conditions over the plains yesterday. It is the same energy, however, it's losing some of its steam. We are going to get some rain across the northeast and mid-Atlantic, much needed rain at that. Mostly a rain event for places like New York, only because we've got too much mild air coming off of the Atlantic. The cold air arrives too late. Fire threat continues from New Mexico, West Texas to Kansas.

Low humidity and winds to 25 miles per hour. And the state of Florida, hot today. And by the time we get through the afternoon, the humidity will drop to 20 to 35 percent. Watching for fire concerns today as well. And stay with us on Sunday as we watch these tornado ravaged areas of East Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
