Over 39 million Americans are under heat alerts for today from Arkansas through southern Michigan, including the entire state of Kentucky. Temperatures in Louisville, Kentucky should spike in the mid 90s with our heat indices or what it feels like to expose skin as high as 101 degrees this afternoon.
Meanwhile, in Lexington, we're forecasting temperatures in the 90s with lots of humidity. Drink plenty of water, even when you're not thirsty, and find that cool shady spot when you can.
and the West Coast will be the best coast this weekend. Although you'll wake up in the morning to some patchy fog from LA down to San Diego and even up towards San Francisco, temperature-wise, we're feeling great and we should stay relatively rain-free throughout the weekend.
