Hi there, I'm Fox Weather meteorologist Craig Herrera with the latest from America's weather center here in New England, all the way down through New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey. We could see some frequent lightning by the commute this afternoon if you're trying to leave early for the holiday. Maybe even some large hail possible, perhaps some strong winds with these storms.

This will happen early this afternoon, especially from upstate New York and then eventually moving to the east. Another area to watch includes North Dakota and Minnesota this afternoon, where we could see hail two inches in diameter or greater, strong winds and possibly a tornado or two. Some of the wind gusts could get up to 60 miles per hour, and this reaches the Twin Cities and Chicago by this evening. Also, thunderstorms creating problems for flooding potentials across the Four Corners region into west Texas.

And then we continue to watch this front moving into the southeast from, say, North Florida all the way to the Carolinas.
