Hi there, I'm Fox weather meteorologist Craig Herrera with the latest from America's Weather Center. This heat don't peak yesterday, but it is still hot and humid and you are feeling more than 150 million Americans from the plains all the way to the eastern seaboard feeling temperatures and heat index values into the triple digits with little relief overnight. Please be careful. Check on the pets, the elderly, the young and especially those with not the adequate cooling systems that we need in place.

Storms today with damaging winds, hail and chance for slight rotation extend from eastern Nebraska to Iowa, southern Minnesota and southern Wisconsin as well as northern Illinois. And then to the south, Florida, systems going to move from the Atlantic side to the Gulf of America side and stall, giving us a chance for storms and heavy rain right through the end of week. Heavy rain for the state of New Mexico yet again through early tomorrow morning. Could see some flash flooding in and around the valleys below the mountains and also in the burn scar areas.
