Fox weather. I'm Fox weather meteorologist Britta Merwin. Happy Friday. Here is the latest from America's Weather Center. We are ending our work week off the exact same way we started it. Severe weather and our threat stretches over 1200 miles from Texas through Arkansas into the Ohio Valley in the northeast.
Think back to earlier this week, the powerful storms that we saw in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We had wind gusts over 80, 90 miles per hour. We still have over 100,000 customers in western PA without power from that. And now we have another round later today. We are going to stay very stormy. The risk of severe weather for the northeast continues into your Saturday, where some of these storms
storms could produce very strong straight line winds greater than 60 miles per hour. Now we do have a tornado risk today. It's limited. I think most of our severe weather reports will be strong straight line winds and some very large hail in the state of Texas. But keep in mind, isolated tornadoes are always possible. You can get the latest weather updates anytime, anywhere. Just download the Fox weather app at foxweather.com.
