Fox weather. I'm Fox weather meteorologist Kendall Smith and here's the latest from America's Weather Center. Severe weather will continue today as storms move from the mid Atlantic to the southeast and Gulf Coast. Expect intense thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds and possibly tornadoes. Flash flooding is also a concern for parts of the mid Atlantic and deep south.
south. The ice storm impacting the upper Midwest and Great Lakes will cause hazardous travel, with significant ice accumulations leading to potential power outages. Snowfall will also continue in northern Michigan and parts of northern New England, creating slick road conditions. Out west, a Pacific storm system will bring rain and snow, particularly heavy snow, to the Sierra Nevada and Northern California mountains. Strong winds are expected in the coastal ranges and inland, with gusts upwards of 50 miles per hour.
