No doubt April has featured some wild swings in temperatures and with the books closing on this month, May is set to begin Thursday on the warmer side of things. Those April showers though that we've been watching may want to linger in Chicago most of the week with temperatures remaining seasonal.
After the warmth fueled storms on Tuesday, it's likely highs won't get back into the 70s again until next week. But the sun, it's going to return in full force by Friday. Speaking of the sun, the Sunshine State living up to its nickname from Jacksonville to Orlando, Florida. Highs every day expected to reach the mid and upper 80s, which is a few degrees above the seasonal averages. The more pressing issue certainly is the ongoing drought with nearly two dozen counties currently under burn bans.
