Fox Sports Update. Julio Jones, a seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, is calling it a career. Jones announced his retirement today after 13 seasons, 10 of which came with the Falcons, where he went over 1,000 yards receiving in six straight seasons. Jones led the NFL in receiving yards in 2015 and 2018, and he spent the last three years of his career with three different teams.

Staying in the NFL, Trey McBride is now the league's highest paid tight end after the Cardinals signed him to a four-year extension on Thursday. McBride didn't have immediate success in the league after being selected in the second round of the 2022 draft out of Colorado State.

McBride had just 29 catches during his rookie season, but he's improved every year since, culminating in his first Pro Bowl selection last season after he had over 100 catches and 1,100 receiving yards. I just put the work in every day. I put the work in over time, and to finally reap the rewards is exciting. That was courtesy of the Cardinals as McBride spoke with the media today. McBride's deal averages $19 million per year, the highest ever for a tight end.
