The highest-seeded American man, fifth seed Taylor Fritz, today plays Canadian Gabriel Diallo. The Twins are shut out.
For the second straight game and Miami has won eight straight for the first time since 2008. 2-0 Marlins here in game one of this three-game series. Shohei Ohtani, welcome home. On Spectrum Sportsnet LA, Shohei Ohtani's National League leading 30th home run helped the Dodgers beat the White Sox 6-1. Fifth year in a row that Ohtani has at least 30 home runs. He's the second Dodgers player ever to have this many before the All-Star break. The Dodgers have won 13 of their last 16 games and now lead the National League West by eight games over the Padres. Five straight wins for the Pirates who blanked the Cardinals 1-0.
On Canada Day in Toronto, the Blue Jays blasted the Yankees 12-5. George Springer hit a grand slam and drove in seven runs. The Red Sox were leading the Reds 2-1 Tuesday when heavy rain suspended the game. It will resume today, 2.30 Eastern time.
WNBA Indiana Fever minus Kaitlyn Clark out with a groin injury won the Commissioner's Cup Championship game against the Minnesota Lynx 74-59.
