Justin Fields signed a two-year deal in March, reuniting him with wide receiver Garrett Wilson after the two played together at Ohio State. I mean, it's awesome. Of course, you know, we played together in college, and, you know, when I saw him, it's really just like the old days. So I don't think our relationships get to beat. So, of course, I'm definitely excited to play with him. That was courtesy of the Jets as Fields spoke with the media today. The Jets haven't made the playoffs in 14 consecutive seasons, the longest active drought in the NFL.
And in the NBA, Luka Doncic wiped away tears as the Mavericks played a video tribute in the five-time All-Stars return to Dallas. His return comes two months after arguably the most shocking trade in NBA history. It saw Doncic head to Los Angeles for Anthony Davis, less than a year after Luka led the Mavericks to the NBA Finals. The Lakers entered Wednesday night's matchup at 48-31, holding a one-game advantage over four teams for the third spot in the Western Conference, while the Mavericks are fighting for play-in tournament positioning.
